Tenth Fragment | Echoes of Past Guilt

Characters: [AU6] Terra and ANYONE
Setting: All around the tower, from 8/12 - 8/15
Format: [Action], but I'll follow your lead.
Summary: Catch-all log for Terra during Individuation
Warnings: Emotional trauma, exercises in futility, Shadow Children, and character death.

[Mail Room - August 12th]

[Terra didn't check his mailbox very often; there weren't a whole lot of people he expected to get letters from in the tower unless it was important. Given that it was a Jason month, he thought he should at least check more than once a week.

He gets a feeling of utter dread the second he sees the package, though he can't fathom why. Slowly, he takes the small box out of his post box, opens it--

And has to resist every urge to drop it and send blue and green shards of glass spilling out on the floor.

How had... who would... why?!

His hands are shaking, rattling the pieces of the two shattered Wayfinders against the one that is still intact in the box.]
... whoever is responsible for this is going to pay.

[There are two Shadow Children slinking around the corner, grinning and giggling softly among themselves.]

[Workroom - August 12th and 13th]

[There are pieces of silver wire, two silver emblems, and a multitude of blue and green glass shards on the table in front of Terra. He seems to be hard at work, trying to use Fire magic to melt the glass shards back together into the individual petals of the Wayfinders. It's tedious work, and there's no guarantee that he'll even succeed, but he has to try something.

As he works, he tries to drown out the voices of the shadow children that seemed to have taken a liking to him. But it's getting harder to do, as the voices are two that he knows very well.]

Why did you leave us, Terra? I thought we were your friends!

I was trapped in the dark for so long, searching for a way out... Terra, how could you leave us like that?

Why didn't you wake me up? Now I'll never be able to see you again...

[He shuts his eyes tight, shakes his head.] Shut up.

['They're not Aqua and Ven... they'd never talk like that.'

But every word eats at him. He continues to work, making little progress. Even if he could fix the charms, he could never cast the spell that made them work. But he still had to try.]

[Observatory Floor - August 14th]

[However long he might've been able to avoid their voices the last two days, they've found him again. And they seem to have found another one, though this one's remained silent.

He's not sure what unnerves him more - Aqua and Ven tearing him down bit by bit, or the growing number of indistinct voices accusing him of their demise; hearts lost, humanity lost, worlds lost due to the unleashing of Heartless upon the worlds.]

[Cathedral Floor - August 15th]

[Terra isn't sure why he stopped on this floor. Ever since the fog and the Shadows of their inner insecurities taken physical form, he had hated this floor. But he had run out of energy to move, and so had collapsed into one of the pews.

His normally bright violet collar has faded to the point where only the barest hint of color remains. In his pocket, his Wayfinder is glowing dimly, as if he barely has the energy to maintain the connection to whatever bond he is leaning on this time.]

The shadows are crippling when it comes to keeping your energy up, yeah. [ He remarked, sighing to himself. That same tiredness plagued him, though not so severely. He moves to support him, seeing that shakiness and trying to remedy it by offering somebody to lean on. It's a start. ]

I think our process's going to be slow. But there's not much distance to cover anyway. [ Shirou glanced towards the door of the cathedral. ]
