[Closed] Captured by the thought of fear and loneliness
Characters: Xion and Ira
Setting: Floor 101
Format: Brackets
Summary: Twi's characters have a tendency to catch Xion when she loses her composure over the network and help her deal with the causes and the aftermaths of losing said composure
Warnings: References to traumatic experiences including but not limited to vivisection
[Aside from a brief murmured apology to Ira, Xion doesn't say a word once she's done interrupting a conversation with a certain administrator. There's a hot, sick sort of feeling in her chest, the frustration and anger at what Jason had said mixing with humiliation. Demeaned, humiliated, violated, how many different ways could he keep making her life worse?
There's still tears dribbling, unchecked and unheeded, out of the corners of her eyes. She doesn't really know where she's walking, just that her room - anybody's room - was not an adequate spot for really hiding right now.
She doesn't make it far though, before the emotional upheaval catches up with her, and - having walked a fair ways into the hanging gardens - she sits down beneath a tree, wrapping her arms around her knees.
She's exhausted and upset and she doesn't know what to do anymore. She didn't want to think about it. She didn't want to think at all. So why was it so hard to stop from dwelling on it?]

But what is that comforting thing. How does I do it.
I can wait. [It will test his limited patience, but he'll try it for family.]

Wait? [She sniffles] Until...? [Until she wanted to talk about it, she guesses?]
no subject
Until you're ready to talk.
[He knew someone who needed time to calm down, even if the memory was a lie. Regardless, he waves it off.]
Besides, I can let those guys wait a while. [Family is more important than some idiots on the network.]

We didn't exactly get away. After we saw him.
[The real him]

[...Didn't get away.
Something in him twists a little, but it's something he'd come to learn to mostly ignore for the most part in his time within the tower. People die every day. He's died six time by now that didn't include his fading back home. It's just how this place is and he hates every second of it because all it means is that they're even more replaceable than they were back home, where it was still only one chance to live.
Yet as much as he tries to ignore it, his fists tighten and his gaze lowers. He can't help the white-hot anger in his chest, or the rage building up even deeper within. Or was that simply the pain of a wounded animal? Who knew at this point?
What he did know is someone hurt someone important to him, and as commonplace as it was... he wasn't gonna have it.]
Tell me you at least got him.
[Just one hit in. That's all that counted and if whoever was with her hadn't there would be hell to pay.]
