Once bitten twice shy
Characters: The Ψiioniic and YOU
Setting: hall on the 2nd floor of the dorms to start with, after that we can move elsewhere
Format: Prose preferred but I'll match you
Summary: Ψ is finally venturing out again
Warnings: Probably not but with the trolls you never know when it'll end in bloodshed and violence
It took a day or so before Ψiioniic was willing to venture out of his respite block again. Not that the room felt all that safe, considering Signless and Suzaku had attacked him in his sleep. Still safer than the rest of the tower, though.
When he did finally poke his head out, he was very wary and nervous, much as he had been when he'd first arrived in the tower. At least his had his powers firmly back under control, which made him feel a whole lot better about his ability to defend himself.

He saw the troll and approached cautiously, peeking out from under his hat. He was so intent on keeping an eye on the adult that he didn't keep track of his own limbs, resulting in his foot getting caught on his staff and sending him flying face-first on the ground at the troll's feet.

Once he was set down, he dusted himself off and glanced up at the troll, blinking his glowing eyes. "Y-Yeah, thank you, mister uh..." Tilting his head he asked shyly, "Wh-what's your name? Ehe..."

Still, it hadn't offered him any aggression, far from it. "What'th your name? What kind of creature are you, are there otherth here like you? I haven't seen any before."

With a smile that Ψiioniic probably couldn't see thanks to the shadow of his hat, he answered, "My name's Vivi!" At the second question he fumbled a bit, glancing down at his hands before barelling on. Hey, it's not as if the people in this tower knew about black mages, right?
"I-I'm a black mage and uh, yeah, there's a whole village of black mages like me," he answered, a little shyly. "The others don't usually leave the forest unless it's to trade with the Conde Petite dwarfs." Most of them wouldn't associate with the rest of Gaia either, not after the stigma Kuja had effectively attached to them, but anyway. "Um, a-are you a troll like Terezi?"

"I can't imagine a whole village of mages," he continued, a little wistfully. One of his biggest regrets had always been that there just really wasn't anyone he could talk to who could truly understand the burden his powers could be. It was one of the reasons he'd been so delighted to meet Sollux. "Where I come from, mageth are taken at adulthood and turned into slavees for the high-bloods, tho... we don't exactly get to socialithe much. I am a troll, though I don't think I've met Terezi yet. There'th quite a few of us here."

Vivi then blinked, thought... and jumped a little. "H-Hey, 'Psiioniic', you're Mr. Signless' friend! Th-the one he was looking for, right?" With an excited jump again, he all but pounces on Ψiioniic's legs, hugging them because he really can't reach higher. "You're safe!"

Either way, he wasn't going to doubt the creature's story. True or not, it obviously believed it to be true. And it meant they had a few things in common.
"Yeah, SS ith my moirail," he agreed, grinning slightly when the little mage got excited. He was a little uneasy being hugged by someone he didn't know, but it wasn't as if it was really hampering his movements at all, since it was so little. And it wasn't as if he needed to move to fight, now that his powers were back. "I probably wath the one he was looking for. I'm okay, now. Hopefully I'll stay that way, thith time. You know him?"
