Summary: Ψ is finally venturing out again
Warnings: Probably not but with the trolls you never know when it'll end in bloodshed and violence

It took a day or so before Ψiioniic was willing to venture out of his respite block again. Not that the room felt all that safe, considering Signless and Suzaku had attacked him in his sleep. Still safer than the rest of the tower, though.

When he did finally poke his head out, he was very wary and nervous, much as he had been when he'd first arrived in the tower. At least his had his powers firmly back under control, which made him feel a whole lot better about his ability to defend himself.

Ψiioniic studied her in turn, just as curious. She appeared human, though he'd never seen one with stitches all over like that. "There'th quite a lot of races here," he told her. "I'm a troll, there'th several of us. Are you okay? Did they experiment on you, too?"

For all he knew there were several groups of people who'd been taken and altered, after all. It hadn't occurred to him before, but considering he hadn't been venturing out much after he'd been so terribly violated, he might not have heard if there were others like his group.

She starts a bit at the response, indicating she probably hadn't realized she'd been making observations aloud. It's impulse to always babble them, back when she had her cadre of assistants to hang on her every word.

"Hm, interesting~." Getting to observe the biology of several unfamiliar sapient species? Oh, she can handle that. "No, no, I just arrived here~. I'm perfectly well and unaltered, as far as I can tell."

..now that the idea is raised, Fran's not sure how she'd feel about someone other than her creator, of course futzing around with her body. She can at least rest assured that if 'they' decide to alter her, she's perfectly equipped to take steps to turn herself right back to normal.

Perfectly well? With all those stitches? Though come to think of it, they don't really look like they're holding together recent wounds, there's no sign of blood or swelling in the tissue. Not that he's any kind of medic, but they'd all had to deal with enough wounds in the field during their hopeless war.

"That'th good, then," he told her. "I'd say 'welcome to the tower' but it'th not much of a welcome. You just missed a lot of really nathty stuff going on, you got lucky."

It's a little hard to discern what this troll is saying, but Fran's luckily got practice discerning distorted voices! _{Whether that be the pitiful cries of the dying or the more pitiful cries of the wants-to-be-dead, practice is practice.}

The hint that there's something more to this place than kindly rescuers and interesting new species is gratifying, but Fran would like to investigate the nature of this 'nathty stuff' a bit more. "Hm, what sort of nastiness would that be?"

"Well, a bunch of uth were kidnapped and experimented on," Ψiioniic told her frankly. "I was one of them... it wath pretty horrific. Then just about everyone elthe started acting strangely, their thoughts were being affected. It ended in all of the hunting down thothe of us who'd been physically altered."

He gave a grateful sigh. "Thankfully we all woke up normal again, though it took longer to come back to life than it usually doeth. And it seems like everyone else is back to normal ath well.

That glint in her eye is a glint of fear, right? Right. Someone getting positively excitable over the story Ψiioniic just relayed is just too terrible to contemplate.

"Hunting you down.. that's barbaric! _{But, they did reverse all the effects eventually? Well, I suppose if you have the technology and wish to preserve subjects in order to not skew results..."}

She manages to cut off the implied 'of future tests' before she actually says it. But really, these experimenters sound like people a bit after her own heart, _{if she abducted her patients instead of letting them come to her, rather.} Maybe this is just an isolated event, though?

"Has something like that ever happened before?"

"I don't know if they deliberately reverthed it, or if it's just becauthe we all died and when we were restored, it wath back to our normal bodies," Ψiioniic admitted. "It started right after I firtht got here, so I'm not sure if it's happened before. Nothing thith bad, I don't think. People seemed pretty shocked when the altered people were returned to the tower in the firtht place."

"Well, well~. So this was an exciting month. From the sounds of it, this place seems better boring."

Lying through her teeth. Fran really wishes she'd gotten to see these experiments, badly.
