The world is a battlefield
Characters: [OU]Kanda and Open to anyone
Setting: Room 2-16; Bathroom/Hallway; Cafeteria; Floor 6; Floor 2
Format: Either
Summary: Kanda is new to the Tower, but the situation is very familiar to him. Cue a pretty grouchy swordsman acclimating.
Warnings: Language and probably Violence
Room 2-16
Kanda wakes with a slight start. "Gener-" He sits up, looking around. This is the second time in a fairly short amount of time he's woken up with everything being muddled in his mind. General Tiedoll isn't here? He frowns a bit, hand instinctively moving to his side, only to find that Mugen isn't there.
He notices the letter and picks it up, reading it before scoffing and crumpling the letter. "Tch. Saved me? What a joke." Kanda swings his legs over the bed and gets to his feet. The outfit is weird and foreign. It's downright an eyesore. He's already noticed the other beds and the trunks next to them. The thought of sharing a room with anyone pisses him off, but he decides to change out of this gaudy thing and let that thought settle. As he moves to locate the trunk at the bed he's woken up in, he tugs at the collar. It's a halfhearted gesture at most that he abandons so he can pop the trunk open. If he could pull the collar off, he wouldn't be wearing it in the first place. He automatically locates Mugen, which is actually a relief. He didn't go back to the Order only to lose Mugen of all things. He picks up Mugen and his uniform.
...Now where the fuck are you supposed to change in this stupid place?
Bathroom->Hallway
He secures the belt around his waist firmly before slipping Mugen back in its scabbard. He glances in the mirror before glancing around him. He doesn't feel like there's anyone here so he tugs his sleeve up. It doesn't look any better, but his arm doesn't look any worst. He tugs his sleeve back down quickly and stalks out of the bathroom. "What is with this place and making everything communal?" He already hates this place a lot.
He needs to find people. They have to be here, right? They wouldn't be gone. He doesn't believe whatever bullshit they're telling him.
Cafeteria
You know who's been sitting at the table with that crappy bowl of porridge in front of him for probably at least an hour? If you guessed Kanda, than you're correct. He looks at the bowl with disgust. He knew he had to eat it (why else would they make him take it?), but this has got to be the most unappetizing thing he's stared down at in a long time.
He just swirls the spoon in the porridge idly. He really doesn't want to eat this. He looks around him. It looks like other people are eating the food here. He guesses if he eats this, he can actually eat more appetizing food (he doubts the quality though after eating Jerry's food for so long). He lets out a sigh.
Floor 6
Kanda already knows this will be the floor he frequents often. He walks in a bit. Close enough that he can easily leave this floor if he needs to be quick about it, but far enough that he assumes no one will bother him unless they happen to be hunting or something. He pulls out a long piece of fabric he's taken from one of the other floors and ties it around his eyes.
He moves to a stance, hands on his sword and waits quietly to strike.
Floor 2
He doubts anyone he'll know is here, but he looks in anyways. He supposed he can grab some medical supplies that he can keep on him or in his trunk anyways. He doesn't want to have to end up here and socialize with anyone anyways. It's not like he personally needs the supplies anyways, but he's not an idiot to not keep some on him in case.
At least he doesn't have to worry about the Head Nurse. She'd surely force everyone to stay in here if they so much have a papercut.>/cut>

So she dashes quickly through the wood, barely making a sound. On the hunt for beasts, or any monster she could take on.
Then she sees Kanda. It's not often that the teenaged Frankenstein saw any swordsmen in the tower. Maybe he was new?
Trying be welcoming, as well as nonthreatening, Veronica made her way towards him, her boots crunching the grass underfoot.]

He eyes her suspiciously, but he resumes a more relaxed path. Her appearance is odd and he isn't familiar with any of the Tower inhabitants really. He doesn't know who is friendly here and who isn't.] What do you want?
[He's also not all that friendly, unfortunately.]
no subject
At his question she just sort of shrugs.]
Well, it's not everyday that I see a fellow swordsman in the tower. Thought I'd investigate.
no subject
Fellow swordsman? So you fight. [Her face is recognizable. It's something good to know if he needs someone to spar with. Someone who could use a sword proper.]

Entertaining, at the very least.
But she won't say anything for the moment- she'll just watch, idly tapping a fingernail against her lip, to see just what he's up to.]

It was nice to be able to train like this. Especially nice with his nerves getting the better of him. This place was unfamiliar and it was probably hostile (it can't be anything but hostile). At the very least, he can unwind a bit. Focus his mind on this for at least a moment.
And then he hears it. A stray leaf has finally fallen behind him. With speed, he swings around, cutting the leaf in two and sheathes his sword again. In the back of his mind, he gets the feeling he's being watched. He's sure of it.
He relaxes his stance and pulls the makeshift blindfold off.]
no subject
Impressive. You study long to be able to mutilate poor defenseless leaves with such ease?
[Arms crossing, she tilts her head.]
Or are you just particularly talented at defeating foliage?

can I apologise in advance (Floor 6)
He gave the forest only a quick glance as he passed through it, checking to see if there were any immediate dangers.
Instead he saw a man with long hair training. He paused, making a small noise of surprise, blinking, in case it was just a trick of the light.
I am so excited for this interaction.
The other looks a lot like Allen in some ways, but he knows the other isn't. He raises a single eyebrow at the other. "You want something?" Obviously, something about him caught Shion's attention.
me too :D
"No... you're new." Stating the obvious, but he was still recovering, he wasn't sure if he was saddened or relieved. After all he would not wish this place on anyone, especially Rat, but at the same time, it was probably safer than being stuck on the dead worlds, risking Elena draining his soul.

Oh, are you hurt? If it is less serious than an amputation... [He waves a hand dismissively toward the checkup area.] ...you can wait over there.
[Wow. What an A+ doctor.]
no subject
I'm not hurt. I wanted to take medical supplies with me. I don't have to wait just to do that do I? [He might just leave if that's the case. He doesn't want to wait to do something that he doesn't even need to be assisted with.] I can get it myself, so it's not like you have to lift a finger to help out.
[It doesn't look like the other really cares to actually help anyways.]
no subject
Oh, nein. What are you looking for? [His smile is surprisingly convincing, despite being fake as hell.] Perhaps I can help you find it.

this notif got buried in my inbox, sorry!!
Cafeteria.
He's going to approach with caution.]
I know it looks gross, but you have to eat it or you won't be able to eat anything else. [He tried. Let him tell you Kanda. He tried.]
no subject
I didn't ask for help, you know. I'm not gonna waste food just because it looks bad. [It's what they gave him, and he knows better than to just starve himself.] Do you take me for an idiot? I bet you're telling me this because you tried and failed.
no subject
It isn't my fault it looks unappetizing, and you know. No one warned me what would happen if I didn't. [Shrug. Okay. Maybe Rose warned him but- he's a knuckle head.]

[Whatever the case, this other person rummaging through medical supplies doesn't look hurt or in any particular hurry. Rick glances over every so often, never quite making full eye-contact, until after such time as he can get up the nerve to speak.]
...Ah...a-are you l-looking for s-s-something?
no subject
Just medical supplies. Better to have something on you than to think you can get to herein one piece.
no subject
[Well that makes two of them]...Yeah.
[Rick nods, awkward and pensive, and goes silent again for a few moments.]

Dunno. Guess Riki got lazy with the design or something.
[He's currently wearing gloves and holding a bucket and rags. It should be obvious that he's here as a janitor.]
no subject
[The fact that the bathrooms aren't completely private annoys him too.] Do you work here or something?
no subject
[He shrugs.]
I got assigned the janitor job. Not like I wanted it.

So, when he saw the man looking in, he smiled at him. "Good afternoon. Are you alright? If not, I shall do what I can to heal you."

"I'm just grabbing medical supplies to keep on me." He indicates the pouches on his belt that also keeps his sheath.
no subject
"I am glad to here that. This place is quite dangerous, so it is smart that you are planning ahead and taking supplies with you. It might save you or one of your friends in the future."
