Characters: Mia and You!
Setting: Library, Infirmary, or Room 01-07. Detailed prompts are behind the cut.
Format: Also your choice!
Summary: Mia adjusts to life in Animus, and meets a few new people.
Warnings: N/A
01-Infirmary
For many people the infirmary was the last place they wanted to be, but for Mia it was the closest thing she could find to home in the tower. She'd first headed here first, making sure that she hadn't been injured after waking up. This was certainly the first time she'd seen such advanced healing techniques, although she thought it was odd that the people seemed to rely on systems to do the healing for them. But, this model seemed interesting and she was wondering if there was something she could learn.
She's currently scouring the shelves, looking through all thee medications she could find. Most of these seemed to be for minor ailments, but they were still very far ahead of the healing medicines that she had given to Megan and Justin to distribute in Imil. With these, it was likely that many minor diseases that would become deadly without constant attention of a healer could be stopped!
Mia's rigorously taking notes, but is not oblivious to anyone walking in. If she could, she'd like to help out healing people in the accessible wing of the infirmary, and the first person walking through the door is the best place to start!
02-Library
Anyone heading to the fantasy and fairy-tale section might find a blue-haired healer curled up, with a book in her lap. There's a rather large stack next to her, but she seems to be making progress at a steady rate. Although she's very focused, her posture is still very open. Anyone wandering through this area of the library might get the impression that this person is okay striking up casual conversation, or being asked for help.
03-Room 01-07
Although Mia hasn't had a chance to meet with the other occupants of her room yet, she has a feeling that they'll get along well. It's rather refreshing, after traveling with a group of almost entirely all boys for so long, to be able to stay with a group of girls instead. If the state of their belongings were any indication, they both seemed rather well-kept and organized.
Currently, Mia's looking over some of the books she'd taken from the library and infirmary, making notes. There's a rather orderly stack of books beside the bed, and a candle burning on the nightstand. It's beginning to get late, but Mia wouldn't mind talking to her roommates and getting to know them better should one of them walk in.

Library
Finally, exasperated, she stops next to Mia and sighs loudly. "...is there no history section in this library? No tomes about arcane matters? This library is dreadful!"
Re: Library
Yes. It's quite a shame. Everyone here seems to come from such interesting worlds; I'd like to know more about them.

So would I! I suppose we're going to have to actually seek people out and ask them, if the books aren't going to reveal anything...
[And then a realization hits her, and she smiles.]
Might I have a seat?
no subject
[Mia smiles warmly and nods.]
Of course.

Some of them are. More of them than I'd expect in a situation like this. Stress rarely brings out the best in people. But I've hardly been here any time at all... maybe I don't fully grasp the situation. What do you think?

[Mia turns to Annika and smiles.]
You're welcome to sit closer, if you like.

[Annika laughs, a hand lifting to cover her mouth. When she's done, it doesn't quite make it back down to her lap again. Mia invited her closer, after all.]
Ah, thank you, but no, I'm fine here... we were going to talk about worlds, yes? Oh! We haven't even exchanged names, have we? I'm Annika.
[Her wrist gives a little twist, as though she's about to offer her hand... but she changes her mind, and sets it upon the tabletop instead.]

[Granted, it's gone badly in the past. But, she's ever grateful for her friends, and they've given her more good than anyone's taken away.]
I'm Mia of Weyard. It's a pleasure to meet you.
[She'll extend her hand out towards Annika.]

Likewise!
[And she takes Mia's hand hand, shaking it gently. Her hand is gloved, but the fingers inside said glove seem terribly frail and thin.]
Have you been in this place long, Mia?
no subject
[As soon as they shake, Mia smiles.]
And yourself?

[It's so, so nice to be talking to someone. Especially someone that seems not to care about her condition.]

[And it's nice to be talking to someone who's also a recent arrival!.]
