Summary: Some of the tower administration answers questions characters may have about their situation.

There is a small, hastily-constructed stage at the head of the cafeteria. While it's empty now, it's obvious there's room for two people to sit and answer questions in front of microphones. After dinner, the collared cafeteria workers silently clear away all food to prepare. Until the session begins, everyone is left to talk amongst themselves.

"Don't you think the kitchen job is a bit dangerous? A delicate young lady such as myself shouldn't be traipsing around inside giant ovens," she pointed out. "And neither should anyone else."

"Oh, to those who don't have the information I'm sure it could seem dangerous, but it's really quite efficient." He seems quite pleased, if anything. "Efficiency is of utmost importance, or everything would fall quickly to chaos with all the confusion amongst those living here."

[pavomuticus]

"Oh, efficiency is nice," Chaplin agrees, "but those of us you've drafted into this work aren't as... practiced at it as those other workers. Odd people," she notes as an aside, "it's like they only live for their jobs... But anyway." She pauses.

Wait, that can't be...

Hm. "Any chance I could switch to another job?"

"Job reassignment forms may be provided in the future, but for now what we require is an even spread. And I assure you no permanent harm will be caused by any occupation within the Tower."

[pavomuticus]

"Mm-hmm. Fair enough. I wouldn't want to be ungrateful."

These people are lucky to have Chaplin Sukegawa working in their kitchen, frankly.
