Summary: Some of the tower administration answers questions characters may have about their situation.

There is a small, hastily-constructed stage at the head of the cafeteria. While it's empty now, it's obvious there's room for two people to sit and answer questions in front of microphones. After dinner, the collared cafeteria workers silently clear away all food to prepare. Until the session begins, everyone is left to talk amongst themselves.

"Is there criteria for who is selected, or is it random? Because quite frankly, I feel I would do better back home trying to stop what happened than being trapped here. I have better things to do than sit around twiddling my thumbs."

Shoutarou's arms are crossed, and he doesn't seem very convinced.

"I'm not entirely sure how the selection process works," Dax says, smiling nonetheless. "You ought to ask tomorrow."
