Summary: Spain mourns.

Amongst the murmurs in the cathedral, there is a second sound. A soft, muffled sobbing from one female nation, as she sits hunched over in one of the pews there.

Spain wishes to be alone after what she did earlier, remembering every detail with clarity. The sight of her beloved Romana wasted away to almost nothing after a so-called surgery, and then having to kill her herself, it was all too much for the older nation.

She remembers that the dead are revived the next day, and she had looked everywhere once morning came, but she couldn't find Romana anywhere. Her voice was gone by the second day of searching, and her feet hurt, but she couldn't give up.

Now, on the fourth day, she sits here, on the thirteenth floor, praying for someone to return Romana to her.

This place, it is odd. The strange sound properties cause Protoman to pause in the doorway and run diagnostics on his audio sensors. There seems to be nothing wrong - even removing the helmet does nothing to fix the odd situation.

The subtle movements of the woman among the pews grabs his attention now, though. If she's making noise, he can't hear it from here. Just what is she doing?

Spain didn't notice the man, too concentrated on her prayers, hoping that they'll be heard and Romana would be safe somewhere. Where was that girl...

Curiosity gets the better of the mechanical man, and he strides forward, slowly. Once he gets to her pew, he peers down at her for a time before speaking.

"...what are you doing?"

"Ah?"

The woman looked up, hurriedly wiping her tears away. Stranger or not, it's bad to let them see how horrible she looks while crying. "I'm praying."

There is a slight tilt of his head. "Preying?" He looks around, then turns his attention back to Spain. "Preying upon what? There's nothing to hunt here."

"No, no... not preying. Praying." Spain offered a small smile. Surely the man was jesting with her. "Asking God for help."
