Game 06 | Don't Break It!

Characters: Jonouchi [invisible_friendship], Luke [ambassadorasshat] (Closed) & Anyone!
Setting: Floors 14 (Media Room), 48 (Graveyard), 38 (Lounge)
Format: Your preference
Summary: Jonouchi is getting much needed bonding time with Luke, except Luke might break the games (whoops!) Among Jonouchi's other activities and general hangouts.
Warning: Is everything I'm posting lately have some sort of comedy in it?

[Floor 14 Media Room (Closed)]
[Jonouchi was more than thrilled to finally get some real time with Luke. To be honest the blonde was quite fond of the replicas. Everyone from said world was pleasure to be around and he cherished them all the same.

He wasn't sure what would be good to do, so he always defaulted to video games with them, and this time be picked a two player side scroll. The goal of the game was defeat all the enemies on each level to advanced to the next one, and every few levels there would be a boss. In order to rescue the princess they would have to defeat the big boss. Jonouchi wasn't great at games, he was actually kind of bad at them, but he could still have fun.]


[Floor 48 Graveyard]
[Jonouchi learned months ago that when he came here, not everyone stayed. They came and went, and there was no place that seemed like a good place to be. Still, it would be better if they were here so they were at least not alone. Right now the blonde sat cross-legged across from a grave that had Asahi's name written on it. She was just one of many who had their names here, but Jonouchi still couldn't help but feel sad that she was gone. Back on her desolate world. It must have been hard, and he couldn't help her through it.]


[Floor 38]
[Later in the day, Jonouchi could be found chilling on one of the couches on this floor. Although night wasn't far off, maybe he should think about going back to the dorms before night takes over. It was a long walk to the top and he wasn't the type to use the elevator.]

[Shion was also headed back to his room, he had finished his research for the night and though his head was mostly fully healed he figured he wasn't in the shape to be fighting monsters.

He saw his roommate in the lounge and waved at him, though they hadn't spoken much, Shion had had a lot on his plate.] Are you heading back up as well?

[The blonde perked up to steal a glance. Oh! It was Shion. Jonouchi was always out and about so he never really got to talk to him, but he thought Shion was a pretty good guy.]

Hah! I was thinking about it.

[He smiled] Want me to wait for you? [Sticking in pairs got you less dead from monsters, as a general rule]

[Well it's not like he was doing anything besides being lazy. The blonde hopped off the sofa and paced over to Shion. He rested his hands on the back of his head.]

Eh, we're not taking the elevator, right?

[Cause if that's the case, he'll just make it his own.]

We can walk [Shion doesn't have anything against the elevators, but he's not sure he trusts them, after the explosions of the last two months he would rather not be stuck in a small box with no way to run.

Not that he actually feared death anymore, but Xion would be angry.]

[It was hard to fear death when you didn't actually die. It didn't make dying any less painful though.]

So what have you been up to?

[As they make their long journey up.]

Just training, and researching the collar fluid, we got a bit behind when we were all stuck in the rooms. [He smiled as he climbed] How about you?

Did anyone ever figure out what the cause of that was? [It'd be hard to surprise him, but he was curious.]

I've been trying to get a little training down too, watching out for my friends, not much else to do.

We are unsure, the administrators claim the explosions must be caused by one of us, but no one is admitting to it and I don't see where they would get real explosive materials from in the first place, making a bomb isn't hard but nothing we have is actually real, and I doubt something made of glamour would damage the tower to that extent. [He nodded] Trainings important.

Maybe they're fighting amongst themselves and pinning the blame on us. [An easy route out.]

Of course it is. I'm not about to keel over in this place.

Perhaps, but surely Ruana would bring an end to that... [He nodded] What weapons do you use?

Or she's the one that did it? [He doesn't really know. They don't make there business very public to begin with.]

I've trained with a sword a little bit, but I don't use weapons that often.

[He's a street fighter. It was always your fists or whatever you could find. That's why he trained his body to endure more pain than it use to.]

Yes I mostly fight unnarmed as well. [It was the best thing in a place like this.]

Floor 38

[Thorin hadn't been on this floor before and he was ever on the lookout for trouble or monsters. It was a regular occurrence within the tower of horrors. Thorin spotted a young man on one of the couches. He knew the blond and decided to greet him.]

Jonouchi. It has been a while since I have seen you. Thank Mahal the tower has not taken you yet.

Hey, Thorin! [He expected his favorite dwarf to be doing well. He was the epitome of manly after all.]

It gets easier. [The longer he stays here.] How are you holding up?

Perhaps for some, yet I still yearn to be in the halls of my ancestors. [Oh, how he missed that.] I am well. Always on my guard, just in case the admins decide to through something evil towards our way.

It seems like it does that all the time. [If it's not one thing, it's another.]

Probably better to keep your guard up all the time.

[Wholly unconcerned about the time of day, Xehanort strolls into the lounge. Under one arm is a large piece of cardboard with a bright picture pasted onto it. In one hand is a pair of scissors. He waves amicably when he notices someone else in the room, before sitting down and starting to cut at the cardboard vigorously.]

Good evening, if one could say such a thing. It's certainly an interesting exercise to keep oneself occupied in this place.

It's pretty good for tower standards. [As for keeping occupied.] Looks like you're trying. What are you doing?

[He's attacking the thing with his scissors, slicing off odd pieces as he goes.] I thought I'd improvise a bit and make my own jigsaw puzzle. At least that way I can make it difficult enough to take a while to put together.

What do you like to do to keep yourself from feeling trapped?

A puzzle huh? [Those were kind of annoying to solve weren't they?]

I try to keep busy. I wake up every morning and work out in the gymnasium, [he never did things like this before now] the media room has some fun games, and there's always friends?

Routines are good, they keep one from going completely mad in a situation like this.

[Snip snip snip. They're oddly shaped pieces, he's only half paying attention as he cuts.]

I suppose if you've been here for a while you know a lot of people and can rely on them for entertainment.

Floor 14 obviously; late tag is late

[These two can be bad at games together. Or bad and terrible, in the redhead's case, as his only exposure to technology has been in the Tower. And while he's figured out how to operate the computer terminals and the movie-playing equipment, he hasn't really touched the video games as much.

Hope Jounouchi doesn't mind his 'playing' consisting more of pushing random buttons in various patterns to see what they do. At least for the first few minutes.]

[This was a button mashing game anyway.]

I put it on easy mode! [Because he knew Luke hadn't played games much, otherwise Jonouchi would have seen him on this floor more often.

Jonouchi's character was doing...okay. Took some damage, gave more. This wasn't going to be a winning play through though.]

Oh. [Give him a minute to decide if that's a nice gesture or one of pity. He'll go with the former.] Uh, thanks...

It's...weird. Making the characters move around yourself instead of just watching them.

[Cue moving in the opposite direction he was supposed to go in the level.]

[Jonouchi would never admit he's this bad.]

You think so?

[Oops he died! Automatic revival from the stock of lives was already used. He was just playing this for fun though, and not as competitively as he would normally. The blonde just wanted to spend time with Luke more than anything.]

All of it is weird. We don't have this level of fontech at home.

[Oops, dead character. Did he die? Who died?]

...What the hell. Are we even getting anywhere in this?

Fontech. Is that kind of like your technology?

[Who knows anymore. The characters didn't look very different.]

It's suppose to be a side scrolling adventures and it's only the beginning levels.
