Characters: A bearded Isaac and you.
Setting: The cafeteria, library, and the twelfth floor on October 11th.
Format: Action brackets please.
Summary: Isaac gets his bearings and explores the Tower.
Warnings: Nothing in particular.
Cafeteria
[The bearded (young? He looks young, but he carries himself as if he is someone with decades of experience) man doesn't seem particularly fazed when he steps into the cafeteria and makes his way to the line for food. It is only when he witnesses various residents getting some manner of orange-colored food, only to be given a bowl of oatmeal, that he so much as raises a brow before turning to the nearest person.]
What's a guy have to do to get some of the good stuff around here?
Library
[Now he is seated in a corner of the library. There are four books beside him on the floor and a fifth, this one with a green cover that looks like it's made of leather, in his hands. He looks like he has been here for some time and is very engrossed in his reading, a fond and nostalgic smile is on his face. The books look a little different from library books and in fact they were in his trunk when he woke up.
He turns a page and then looks up, seeming to sense something. Or someone.] Ah, hello. Am I in your way?
Twelfth floor
[He is melancholy and quiet on this floor. He isn't truly on the floor itself as he is seated on one of the lower steps on the staircase, but he appears deep in thought and his eyes never leave the epicenter of the disaster depicted here.
Your world has been destroyed.
He wonders if this is what it was like when it happened, one bright flash and then it was all over, everything they had ever fought for wiped out in a single instant. He hopes not. He likes to think that the people of Weyard would have gone out fighting.]

Library!
[Mia smiles. She'd had to study the person closely to be sure, but there was no doubt this person was Isaac. He looked a little...different...from when she'd last seen him, but given everything else in the tower, this was the least surprising thing she'd seen.
She needed to have a stern talk with whoever thought that beard was a good idea, though.]I'm happy to see you, Isaac.

[Now this is a sight for sore eyes. He closes the book and sets it aside immediately as he clambers to his feet.
Don't diss the beard. His wife loves the beard. She loves it so much she had to go all the way to Kalay because she just couldn't handle basking in its awesomeness.]You have no idea how glad I am to see you're safe.
no subject
[No, really. With their world destroyed
and Alex being hereshe was extremely to see anybody she knew safe.]You certainly look...different.
[
Just because all the other kids are doing it, doesn't make it cool. :|]Cafeteria!
Excuse me, sir? Are you new here?

[Dang, he must look really confused if someone has figured out he just got here so quickly. He turns to face the knight and looks her over. She seems trustworthy enough.]

[She manages a chuckle, only to frown slightly at the oatmeal. Ugh. It's not terrible as long as it's still warm but she doesn't especially envy him right now.]
You see, if you don't eat the oatmeal first? Anything else you try to eat is gonna come right back up. I kind of wish I knew why for sure, but I don't.
Cafeteria
But I wouldn't be too hasty trying to get the good stuff. The staff said nothing but pumpkin for the entire month.
Cafeteria
Good stuff? Nay, the tower does not treat us to the luxury of having edible food, lad. It forces us to eat such bile as this oatmeal.
