Setting: Everywhere, all week Here is a list. Seriously just pick any floor!
Format: Both
Summary: Shion collects candy, and does science
Warnings: Nothing majour
The game reminded him of last year and it was enough to make him feel generally uncomfortable. He didn't like remembering last year, the costumes, the candy hunt.

This year was different though, no costumes and candy that was real even under glamour. Of course last year they hadn't even known about glamour so he had no way of knowing if the candy from last year had been real or not.

It made him facinated and by the second day he had began experimenting, leaving candy alone to see if it really did disappear, cutting it up, eating it.

He searched with people when he saw them, some people couldn't see the candy at all and that was interesting in it's own right.

Ruana was out to hurt them, but she had called this a game and it was only right Shion enjoyed it, and tried to win.

Oct 23 Dorm 2

[midgarhorizon]

[It's a visit mostly to check up on Shion, something to distract him from the nagging, constant paranoia. Being alone made it worse, and since he and Elena are purposely avoiding each other, Shion is the next best choice for being distracting.

Besides, he has to swap clothes with him again, needing one of the other outfits.]

Hey, Shion?

[What... is Shion doing? Looking for candy?

Why did it feel... so damned off? The paranoia raged, making his hands shake slightly, but he fought to stifle it. It was a stupid game.]

Hello Reno! [Shion looks up from where he is searching around a computer terminal. He holds up a gummi worm] Can you see this?

[midgarhorizon]

[Reno can see the candy, and he's looking around the area for more. Somehow that paranoia is making him look around for candy himself, though he had tried to resist it at first.

He's damned if he'll collect it, though.]

Yeah, what is it?

[It looks like a worm, but who would want to eat candied worms?]

Shion just... just stop. I- [and he's shaking, going a little pale.

See, he's collecting. He's collecting! Shion's got more candy than you... You're falling behind. Shion's going to have enough and you'll be left behind... see? He's waving candy at you, taunting you. He knows. He KNOWS. He'll win and then you'll-]

G-get that away from me.

[savedbyasong]

What's wrong? [His face is worried] You look ill. [He got closer, still holding the gummi worm] Did something happen? Is Elena alright? Is Xion? What happened?

[midgarhorizon]

[Reno backs away from Shion, one step, then two. His focus turns to Shion's face.]

I don't know, haven't seem them in a while.

[savedbyasong]

[He reaches out to take Reno's hand] Come on, my room is close you can rest there. [His tone allows no argument and he pulls him along.]

[midgarhorizon]

Wh- [goddamit Shion when did you get so strong. Reno rolls his eyes but follows him, knowing full well the path to get to 2-12.]

I don't need rest.

[savedbyasong]

Yes you do. [He led him over to his bed and sat him down, before depositing his small collection of sweets into the pot on the side. He then went to touch Reno's head] You don't feel too warm...

[midgarhorizon]

[Irritable, Reno smacks Shion's hand away. The unsettling feeling he got looking at the kid made him wary.]

I ain't sick, Shion. It's this damn game...

The game? [He peers into his eyes] What do you feel like?

[midgarhorizon]

[Shion no what are you doing.]

Stop it, kid. [Those nagging, pinching, pulling feelings wouldn't let up. Shion's... he's mocking Reno, prodding at him because he hasn't caught up yet... wasn't going to catch up.]

I don't need this. It's hard enough not doin' this mogshit candy thing without ya laughing at me. It's stupid.

Oct 22 Lounge (?)

[Chihiro is just crawling out from under a table when he spots a familiar face.]

Shion-kun!

[Then he sees the candy the other is holding and understands.]

Ah, you're looking for candy too?

[Shion nods with a smile, he hasn't seen Chihiro in a long while and has been worried about him] I am! Have you found a lot?

[cutestprogrammer]

Well... Not really. I've only found a little bit.

[savedbyasong]

I've not found that much today either. Do you want me to help you look? [They might as well work together whilst they can still see the candy.]

[The beach party] [I'm always tardy]

[When Shion arrives on this floor, there's already someone there. That particular someone is glowing, his hands raised towards the beach - a golden light slides along the water line, peeling back sand to reveal...

Nothing. The redhead's visual self might not be immediately familiar, seeing as they met under the glamour failure the first time, but Asch's growl of frustration is the same voice as back then.

Of course, if Shion looks close and ignores the different fall of long hair and pushed-back bangs, he'll recognize the face from somewhere else - after all, one of the other people with this face is his roommate now. Chances are that Shion hasn't heard Luke curse quite so vehemently, however.]

Damn, it's all vanished...

Luke? [It's not Luke though, despite the similar face. His hair was different, he sounded different, he was wearing different clothes. As well as a thousand tiny difference that made him not Shion's roommate no more than Axel was Reno, or even other Reno was Reno.] Sorry. What are you doing? [He steps closer to not-Luke.]

[Thankfully Shion has someone who does know who this is, stepping out of the stairs onto the floor after him.]

Asch? Are you... looking for candy too?

[It's a guess, but given that's what Shion is doing too, she'd like to think that it's a fair one. She's still a bit unsure about this whole thing though, because she can't see what they're gathering. It's a bit unnerving.]

[bloodyashes]

[Xion answers the question before he gets the chance to - the glow fades from around Asch as they approach, after one last wild scribble across the top of the sand. Where the light goes, the grains disappear entirely, leaving sharp edges that collapse when the next wave goes over them.]

The two of you as well, then?

[He's giving them a look over - having extra eyes has helped before, although he's not sure how much help it will be in this case. He hasn't had much luck.]

[Oh it is Asch. Shion has never met him when the glamour has been on though, he smiles at him shyly.] I am... Xion isn't. How are you making the sand move? Is it some kind of magic?

[attheclocktower]

[Xion shakes her head]

I don't think so. It's called... hyperresonance, I think? And it... well... [She looks at Asch] Asch can explain it better than me.

[Because truthfully she has no idea how hyperresonance actually works]

[bloodyashes]

[Well, she's about to find out!]

That's right. It doesn't move the sand, it erases it.

[He kicks lightly at a pile of sand by his foot, suddenly annoyed.]

Or the glamour forming the sand, in this case.

Erases it? [He kneels down to examine it further, you've got him now Asch.] How does it erase it? Completely? Or does it just convert it to something else?

[bloodyashes]

[There's nothing unusual about about the sand that remains, at least as far as Shion will be able to sense. Someone from Auldrant might observe that the level of ambient Seventh Fonons is still high, but that's not something people from other worlds can do.]

Hyperresonance takes things apart at the atomic level - technically the fonons and some of the lighter elements remain, but they dissipate into the atmosphere quickly enough.

[Ohhhh boy they were getting into that kind of stuff. Like with the collar fluid. Shion had been trying to teach some of it to her, but it was still kind of overwhelming. Especially since the collar fluid itself was pretty complex in that regard.

She smiles apologetically.]

If you guys are going to start talking about atoms, I think I'm going to go start collecting shells. Sorry.

[She doesn't want to interrupt]
