Setting: The meadow floor (25).
Format: Either.
Summary: Ken's looking for some sparring practice. Hopefully people will answer his request from his network post.
Warnings: Violence, probably language. idk what else.


Ken didn't really care who came to see him in the meadow. Hopefully it would be at least one person, but he needed the practice anyway. He'd brought a few spears, in case anyone came to learn, but his more sturdy spear was in his hands.

He thrust forward, backward, and then planted it in the ground, using it like a pole vault to leap forward. He couldn't go as far as he used to - he still needed to adjust for weight. He wasn't as short as he used to be. Really, his spears probably needed to be extended, but he'd have to find someone to help with that.

He didn't trust everyone here. He couldn't. Really, there were only a few people he could trust - but that was enough for him. Still, better to give off the illusion of friendliness and openness in a place like this.

... He was thinking too much. Hopefully someone would show soon.

"I'm good! How are you?" He skipped closer grinning, "I haven't seen you for ages!" It's been like two whole days.

"It hasn't been that long. I'm okay, though."

He leans over and nudges Romeo a bit.

Romeo grinned and hugged him now that he wouldn't startle Ken into stabbing him. "Have many people came yet?"

sldfjf. He tries to relax a bit, and looks thoughtful for a moment.

"Some people. Not a whole lot, though."

[myblueskies]

"Maybe more will come later." Romeo smiled, "Did you have good practice with the ones that came?"

[miseris_socios]

"Yeah, I did. Some of them are legendary heroes where I came from."

[myblueskies]

"Really?" He grinned, "Like from story books?"

[miseris_socios]

"Yeah. It's kinda weird..."

[myblueskies]

"I bet they are really good fighters!" He grinned, "This means you get to be in a story book as well, because you fought with heroes!"

[miseris_socios]

"Maybe. I'm not that good at drawing though, I wouldn't be able to make a story book."

[myblueskies]

"I can make one, me and Zett made a story book already and mister Diarmuid said I should write a book about all the heroes here so they don't get forgotten." He smiled, "I'm not really good at drawing though, but I can try hard!"

"Diarmuid's one of the people I was sparring with. And I'd like to see your book."

He grinned at Romeo. Maybe it wasn't the greatest book but if Romeo was proud of it then that was all that mattered.

"You sparred with mister Diarmuid? He is a great hero! He is a real life knight, you must be really strong Ken!" He grinned, proud of his friend, "I sent it to Zo. He showed me a book about rabbits when I woke up and was all droney, I couldn't read it though so I made him one. But I can show you my hero book, it's only got a few pages though, I got to learn about everyone but I was trying to do all the people who disappeared first while I still remembered everything about them!"

"I try. And if you want I can help you write things in your book and teach you the words. You know you can always ask me to help with those kinds of things, right?"

Romeo grinned and leaned on Ken again, "I know." He nodded, "I managed most the words in my rabbit book, I just hope Zo can read them. I think I got all the letters right though!"

"Good. But you can ask me about the ones you don't know. I can show you how to look them up."

[myblueskies]

Romeo nodded with a smile, "I got a book from the administrators after we got stuck int he rooms. You would like it I think, it's got lots of hard words though."

[miseris_socios]

"You did? What kind of book is it?"

[myblueskies]

"It's by a man called Voltaire, and it's called "The customs and spirits of the Nations. It's all about how to make the world nicer and equality and freedom." Sort of, bits of the book were really complicated, even with Xehanort's help.
