Searching for answers
Characters: Simon and anyone
Setting: Floors 78, 70, 66, and 3
Format: Anything goes.
Summary: Simon goes adventuring, and keeps searching.
Warnings: Typical tower warnings.
Floor 78
[Simon had been growing restless. His old curiosity was coming back, with a vengeance now that he was out of danger for the most part. Betty, and Marceline had always said that it would be the death of him. But if that wasn't the case here....
Huh, so this was a mailroom. Simon was more surprised that there was a mailroom in the first place than the fact that it took up an entire floor. He stepped carefully though the floor, picking through the piles of letters and packages and looking at mailboxes before eventually coming across his own mailbox.]
Floor 70
[The grinding of gears, and the hiss of steam was ever present on this floor. Which naturally led Simon to here like a fly to honey.
The pistons and pipes all gave Simon anxiety though. The various fluids that traveled through them seemed to be quite volatile.
Curiously, he raised a hand and touched one overhead, earning him a burn on the hand.]
Ouch!..... don't know what I was expecting....
[And then the pipe burst, Simon jumping back just in time to avoid most of the splatter.]
Whoa!
Floor 66
[Well then.... there's a glacier in the tower.
The freezing temperatures did nothing to slow Simon's stride, neither did the ice underfoot. With only a simple suit and waistcoat on, with the crown at his side of course, Simon must have come across as quite the insane person. Striding across the glacier without a care, every so often stopping to look through the ice underneath him.
Sometimes it paid to have powers he supposed. At least here he could get some peace and quiet if he needed it.]
Floor 3
[Eventually, Simon had made his way down to the bottom of the tower. It was at this time that he came across the library for the first time.
Naturally, he was in heaven. He circled the room at least a dozen times, gathering a few piles of books to read. Books were a rare delicacy back home, so he was very excited to see all of them again. Except...
Sitting at a table, surrounded by piles of books, Simon could only look at the one in his hands. The book that had arrived here with him.
The Enchiridion. It still existed. He had wondered where it had gone to. All of the information inside was surely not something that should go to waste. Or something that should be handled lightly.
He glanced around at the other people in the room. Could he protect both his crown, and the book here?]

... Until she sees that it's just someone that fell. Welp. She puts away her knife and climbs to her feet, running over to him to help him up.]
Ain't no one ever told you that you shouldn't carry so many books at once?
