I would not say 'unpleasant.'

Mostly, because he doesn't want her to kill him.]
I think a better word would be 'passionate.' Also, 'open.' Maybe too much so, but that doesn't make her a bad person. It just means she cares a lot and doesn't hide that from anyone.
