Summary: Romeo returns from his dead world, and discovers a gift in his mailbox
Warnings: Nothing I wouldn't think

[Room 2-02] Every time Romeo went back to his world he was scary that he would nver return. The Tower was a very scary place but at least he had friends there, he could help them and they could fight the administrators together. To either restore their worlds or go to heaven together.

But here there was just emptiness and dead bodies. Just Romeo alone and it was very hard to keep his spirits up. So he was very relieved when he opened his eyes to see the bedroom that had been his for a long time now. "Hi Pinocchio!" He giggled as the weasel snuffed at his neck.

He looked around and saw a book with a note on the end of his bed. He opened the note and grinned, it was from Zo! Romeo had wondered if he had gotten his present!

You remember that? I wish you could've talked back! I really liked the story; I made another copy of it for you!

Romeo's mouth dropped open and he opened the book. It was beautiful! All the pictures he and Zett had made but better, and they moved! Even the story was better and the words written properly.

"Zett!" He didn't know if his friend was in hearing distance, "Come look!"

The meadow] Romeo took the book to the meadow. It was cold now so he had his hat that he had gotten a while ago as a reward, and the scarf that miss Tohko had made for him. Bundled up in those he sat and read the book happily, pointing things out to Pinocchio.

"Well it's better than nothing!" He smiled and stroked Pinocchio.

"But it's still terrible. Would it kill him to give us something even a little tasty?"

"He used to give us real food." Romeo told him, "A long long long time ago."

"Really?" This was news to him. "What happened?"

"I don't know, but we always gotted food before the month where there was the maze and people had to kill each other in it."

"I don't remember hearing about that." There were some events people didn't like to talk about, it seemed.

"It was really bad." He looked down, "There were lots of people put in a big maze and they had to fight each other until only one person was alive. And we could all see it on the network and we could send people food or water or powers, but then we got really bad nightmares.

Miss Zelda and some other people tried to break in and rescue them but they all got killed. And when they died in the maze they went somewhere else and gotted punished and we could see that as well."

"That's pretty awful." Zett would've been pissed off at having to fight people he liked, if he didn't outright refuse.

"It was. I wasn't there though... But it was really bad."

"I'm glad you weren't. I like you too much to let you go through that."

Romeo nodded, he was just really glad that Zett hadn't been there when he had been turned into a deer creature, or a moose bug creature. Because those times had been scary and he thought Zett would have been sad.

He might have thought the bug was funny, being a bug himself.

"...It's not safe, liking someone here. It'll hurt you both in the end. But you have to do it anyway."

"You do, because if we all just don't like each other then the administrators will really win, because we will be all alone and have no friends." He sighed.
