A-ah...

[Assassin lets out a little gasp as Urotsuki curls again her shoulder. Her lean, hard, muscular shoulders leading down to her warped arms don't seem the best place for a girl to sleep, but she doesn't have the heart to wake Urotsuki up either.]

[So she'll just squat here. Awkwardly. Waiting for Urotsuki to maybe wake up on her own.]

[...At least she's very good at keeping still.]

[ Apparently Urotsuki doesn't really care about what kind of surface she sleeps on - she just sleeps all the same. So even if Assassin might not be as suited as a pillow, it doesn't faze the girl at all, and she's already contently snuggling a little into said shoulder. Hope you don't mind staying like this for quite a while, Assasin.. ]

[glassceiling]

[She sighs and remains still. After a few minutes pass, though, she carefully raises a hand to pat Urotsuki on the head. As soon as the pats are done, her hand goes down again.]

[...The sleeping girl almost reminds her of a cat.]

[chainsawn]

[ After quite a while more of snuggling and sleeping, Urotsuki finally wakes up. In a rather strange way though - rather than waking up slowly or jumping up from waking up from a nightmare, she literally is asleep one moment and awake the next, already staring at the person who's "suddenly" there. ]

... Hi. I'm awake, right?

[glassceiling]

Yes, you are.

[Assassin turns to look toward the girl who had been sleeping on her shoulder just shortly before.]

Did you sleep well?

[chainsawn]

Uh-huh. [ She always sleeps well though. Sleeping, unlike being awake, is something that can hardly even go wrong, after all. ]

It was boring here, so I thought I'd sleep. It's not boring outside of here, but it's not really fun either, so I have to stay here where it's boring.

[glassceiling]

...Yes, there is indeed little to do here.

[The mood here is not festive. A good number of people are too tense about the monsters outside.]

Such is the price for safety.

[chainsawn]

So you mean safety is always boring?

[ Then again, it's not like Urotsuki is able to tell the difference between safety and danger to begin with a lot of the time, so the statement doesn't mean a whole lot to her. We're talking about the girl who went to see the whale when it attacked the tower way back. ]

[glassceiling]

N-no, not always. Just...sometimes, I guess.

[Assassin doesn't really have a good answer to this question.]

[chainsawn]

.. It's pretty boring right now, yeah.

[ Although she's not sure what kind of situation to think of that's safe but also exciting.. ]

Do you think something fun is going to happen soon? [ At this rate she'd probably take running over those things over sitting around here. ]

[glassceiling]

[She shakes her head.]

I don't know. Perhaps, if someone can find an activity that everyone here agrees upon.

[chainsawn]

We don't even have stuff to play with though. Unless we use one of those things as a ball.

[ She points at a retrieval unit as it passes by. Not that it's remotely ball shaped of course.. ]

[glassceiling]

[She looks toward the retrieval unit.

Ah...that would be rather rude...

[chainsawn]

It would? [ Although it's hard to say Urotsuki easily sounds surprised, it does sound like something she didn't know yet, apparently. ]

But they're different from us, right?

[glassceiling]

Aria has the same functions as them, and yet she is like us.

[Then again, the only drone she had gotten to know was Aria.]

[chainsawn]

Oh. Yeah. She seemed a little normal. [ But Urotsuki hardly thought of her as a retrieval unit.. they talked, after all. It's pretty much the first step on the road to friendship, one way or another. ]

But the others are different. So it's fine if it's one of them. We just need to make sure it's not Aria.

[glassceiling]

Is that how it works? But even if they are strange, they seem helpful...

Perhaps if you happen to find an unhelpful one?

[chainsawn]

.. Are you saying I should test them all to see which one's unhelpful? That might take a while.. [ She's glancing around at the ones that are only buzzing around here, let alone all the others out there.. ]

We'll never get to the game at that rate.

[glassceiling]

Better to make some effort than accidentally hurting an innocent person.

...We could test them together. Perhaps that can be a game in and of itself?

[chainsawn]

[ Urotsuki weighing those two up against each other wouldn't come to the same conclusion.. but at least she doesn't say it out loud. ]

You'd like to do that..? [ It's not like people often want to play with her. ]

[glassceiling]

Yes, if it helps you. There is not much else that I can do.

[chainsawn]

Hmm, I guess we can go do that then. .. I just don't want to only sit around. Unless I get to sleep again.

[ But ever since she got to the tower, she's liked to have social interaction instead of sleep more and more, so it doesn't seem like the most appealing idea in this situation to her. ]

[Assassin makes sure to pull her bed sheet tight around her body as she stands.]
