[As Assassin prays, something is draped around her shoulders. Should she open her eyes to look, it's one of the sheets that typically covers the infirmary's beds. Claudia tucks it around her, carefully.]

I'm sorry. I'll try to make you something better, but this will have to do for the time being.

[glassceiling]

[She looks up from her prayers and notices the sheet over her. She then looks up to Claudia as the other woman speaks.]

...Thank you, Claudia.

[She pulls the sheet tightly around herself.]

This will be enough...just this is too good for me.

[sicharia]

That's not true at all. You deserve a proper cloak, Assassin. [Her tone is faintly chiding, and she puffs a little, pulling the makeshift hood she has supplied Assassin with into her face as a bit of good-natured teasing.] Besides, this'll be awkward to wear in the long term. It's not like there's a clasp to button.

[glassceiling]

[Assassin can't help giggling as Claudia does that, though it's strained giggle.]

It might not be the best to move around in, but it is enough to cover me if I am still. So long as you stay here, Claudia, I will not need to move anywhere.

[sicharia]

[Claudia sighs faintly, the noise tired but fond. Her smile is much the same as she settles beside Assassin, her knees drawn up to her chest.]

I don't intend to leave now. Even so, in the worst case scenario... I'd rather be sure you have something to wear, should moving become necessary. Okay?

[glassceiling]

Alright...

[She leans on Claudia ever so slightly.]

I can fight without using my cloak, especially if it is to protect you.

[It would be embarrassing to show off her strange body to everyone else, but she would withstand it. She is no stranger to sacrifice.]

[sicharia]

[And in reply, Claudia leans back just a little as well.]

Hopefully it won't come to that.

[The thought makes her feel restless and fidgety again, knowing she can't do something to return the protection Assassin has provided her with, but she tries not to let that show. It's not as though Assassin doesn't know what she's doing, Servant or not.]

I know, though. I trust you to do what needs to be done.

[glassceiling]

[She nods.]

...Claudia, I know I should not have to make requests of you, but if Jason or something else does make it here, and those of us here who can fight must fight with him, then please watch after Aria. That girl is the one who has created this sanctuary, and if she tells the truth, she is an ally we cannot afford to lose.

[sicharia]

Mm, of course. [She nods without hesitation, though her hands ball up as she does so. Assassin's condition isn't one she should be fighting in, but if she intends to even so, how can Claudia refuse her request?] I'll do everything I can.

[Which might not be much, but.]

I just hope it doesn't come to that.

[glassceiling]

[Meanwhile, Assassin's perception of her status is a little different. Her duty is to protect Claudia. Whether or not she has her powers, and no matter how embarrassed she is, she must do her duty.]

I hope so as well. But...I have heard of many things going wrong in this Tower. Many, terrible things.

[And Enoch (Peace be Upon Him), had even said that they had only their own hope to go on. Not the faith or aid of God (Glorified and Exalted be He)

That's true. All sorts of things could happen. But--so long as we are prepared for the worst, it's fine to hope for the best, isn't it?

[She manages a smile. Pessimism won't help now.]

[glassceiling]

Yes...thank you for reminding me, Claudia.

[She pulls the bed sheet a little tighter around herself. She cannot lose hope. Not when Claudia is willing to comfort her. But in preparing for the worst, she almost wants to think of the worst case scenarios.]

[sicharia]

You don't need to thank me for anything. It's probably overly optimistic of me, but—I just don't think it does any good to think like that. Enough bad happens without use inventing more where it might never come to pass.

[Idly, she fidgets with the cloth of her dress.]

...So, has there been anything on your mind, Assassin?

[It's difficult to make small talk in a situation like this, but...]
