Petal 001
Characters: Ib and everyone else
Setting: All over the tower.
Format: Prose to start, will switch to match.
Summary: Ib awakens at the tower with no clue what the heck's going on
Warnings: Cuteness? Nothing, will edit if something comes up.
"Your world has been ????. I saved you. Let's all be happy here."
Ib tilted her head at the words on the paper, one of which she didn't understand. She rubbed her collar some as she tried to figure it out. It was confusing, to wake up away from home, away from her mom and dad, with a collar on her neck, and the clothes and the letter... none of it made any sense. Speaking of clothes, Ib frowned, rubbing at the skintight white material. It was uncomfortable, and she didn't like it. Setting the letter aside, Ib stood, opening the trunk in the room. On one side was a teddy bear. On the other (to her relief) a set of normal clothes. And in the middle... a red rose.
Ib picked up the rose, finding it to be made of silk. This wasn't the gallery, but if she was here and she had a rose... Maybe Garry was here with a rose as well. She set it down for only a moment so she could change. Eerily enough, it was the outfit she had worn to the gallery: a long-sleeved white blouse with a deep red neck ribbon, a matching skirt, and black knee socks with red Mary Janes. She eagerly peeled off the white jumpsuit and put on her normal clothes. She tired to take off the collar, but no dice; she appeared to be stuck with it. Closing the trunk, Ib picked up the rose and walked out of her room, proceeding to wander the tower.
Maybe Garry was right around the corner...

[Veronica kneeled down so she was eye level with Ib and put a hand on her shoulder. She gave a comforting look.]
Nope. T-trust me, nothing is g-gonna happen to you. You'll be safe.
no subject
Okay. Then I won't be scared.
no subject
There's a f-few t-things you need to know about this place. You want me to t-tell you?
no subject
Yes, please.
no subject
Well, f-firstly, everyone here is from... a different world. You and me are from different worlds, if that makes s-sense.
Secondly, y-you're first meal here will b-be a bowl of plain oatmeal. I'm really s-sorry, but you'll have t-to eat it before you eat anything else. Everyone does.
There's a lot more, b-but I'll explain that later, okay?
no subject
[Ib nodded as she took in the information.]
I don't mind oatmeal; it's not my favorite food, but I'll eat it if I must.
no subject
I can take you to the cafeteria, if you w-want.

This t-tower has a hundred floors, s-so it's kind of easy to get lost. There's an elevator t-that'll t-take you to specific places though.
no subject
[That sounds even bigger than the gallery. Ib listens carefully to that bit about the elevator as it comes into view.]
no subject
Well, t-there's probably a map somewhere. We j-just, sort of, l-learn on our own what floor is what.
no subject
Okay. I'll do my best to keep track.
no subject
One f-floor has a lagoon, and another has a infirmary, and t-there's like t-two libraries.
I guess y-you could say this tower is... m-magic.
no subject
There are no art galleries, are there?
no subject
[She leans back against one of the elevator walls. she has to actually think about it.]
..Y-yeah, I think there's one. Floor twenty-two.
no subject
I never want to go there...
no subject
O-okay, okay. We don't have to go there, okay? It's just one floor.

no subject
...I like your rose.
no subject
Thank you... It was in my box when I woke up.
no subject
[Veronica's were.... much more dangerous than a rose of all things. Maybe it was a special rose?]
Maybe we can find a vase for it. Put it in y-your room.
no subject
Oh, it's not real... It's silk.
no subject
[The elevator softly dings, signalling the reached floor. The doors slowly slide open.]
no subject
[Ib smiles faintly, walking forward.]
Just one bowl of oatmeal, right?
no subject
[She shuddered a little at the memory of her own first meal.]
Then you can eat w-whatever you want.
