Characters: Miles Edgeworth and you!
Setting: Libary, Mailroom, 4-16 and cafeteria
Format: Action but I will match!
Summary: Edgeworth wakes up from death, distracts himself from DL-6, cooks and gets a special item.
Warnings: Mentions of death.
25th December – 3rd floor Library
[Edgeworth knew very well that he could risk dying when he tried to protect Franziska. Still, in doing so, Franziska could survive and go upstairs to help those units. It did not make that any less frightening when he awoke, in his bed, however. Especially since the paralysation seemed to last longer.
It terrified him how little meaning ‘death’ seemed to have in this place.
Still, he had to continue finding the truth, no matter what. For everyone’s sakes. He couldn’t let his ‘death’ get to him. Or at least he would try not to…
He can be found later in the library, trying to jot down notes. Because the way to react to dying in front of your sister is totally going to the library and continuing as if nothing happened, right?]
28th December
[December 28th…
The anniversary of his father’s death.
Even here, Edgeworth could not forget about it. In normal circumstances, he would bury himself with a bunch of files or pursue a case. Unfortunately, he did not have any of those in Animus. All Edgeworth could do was look for something to distract himself.
At first he thought of going to the laboratory to find some work.
No, that would be pointless. They had already discovered the secret of the collar fluids, anyway.
After thinking about what to do, Edgeworth decided to spend his day in the postal room. It may be the most boring job ever but it would give him something to concentrate on instead of his father…
He may bump into you while you are walking by, dropping his letters.
This is not his day…
1st January – 4-16
[Today, either the roomies or anyone visiting 4-16 will may hear a gasp from Edgeworth’s side f the room. You may see him (please knock first or Edgeworth will strangle you with his cravat if you don’t) kneeling by the side of his trunk, his mouth open in shock.]
……Th-this is Wright’s!
[A closer look and you will see him holding a small, green, glowing gem.]
2nd January
[Even though he acknowledged that everything was oatmeal, Edgeworth was rather disappointed in the lack of variety in meals, so he usually tried to make something of his own.
So today, he tried to make some carrot and egg firtters. They wouldn’t be much and Edgeworth was sure that they would be disgusting.
They might smell delicious to the less snobby and pretentious person walking by. Edgeworth’s idea of ‘good’ cooking happens to be Michelin star and fine dining, anyway.]
[OOC: If you want to tag Edgeworth on 1st and/or 2nd of January, please comment on his Magatama permissions post here: http://frilliance.dreamwidth.org/4044.html]

jan. 2nd
If you happen to stumble on any tea in your misadventures over there, do at least inform me.
[Distracted as he was, the magus at least managed that much of a sarcastic greeting.]

[And then, he remembers something that Diarmuid told him.] Hang on a second - Diarmuid got back something from Zo, didn't he? His dog - or at least something in the form of a dog. [He doesn't trust Ruana or Jason to be that generous. But Riki....? Maybe....?]

He's been surprisingly rational whenever we've exchanged words, so I'd say it's likely.

Might be worth asking when next we have a chance, at least.

Edgeworth has already noticed the writing Waver has and he cannot help but be curious about they mean.]

....I hope you don't mind me asking, but I was just curious about that piece of paper you are looking at.

I inherited a weapon from him that met with an unfortunate accident; with these I can more easily remake it.

[He's trying not to make an assumption but.....he cannot help but be slightly interested.]

...Though I hate to admit he could do anything right, the invention in itself was brilliant. But the name leaves a bit to be desired.
sorry this is late!

2nd January
[As time goes on, and Edgeworth's meal smells better and better, the sniffing becomes anything but subtle.]

Nah. Not unless you're willing to show off how to make whatever smells so good.

[He grins, not discouraged by the frown at all.]
'Cause I gotta say: that's one of the best things I've smelled since I got here.

Sorry this is so late OTL
[Still (while she won't admit it), she's rather upset by his actions during the last week, and would like a chance to confront him about it. She would also like to see him in person, since she'd spent the last day rather worried. She'd heard about death in this place; how it was usually rather gruesome, how it was rather non-permanent, and how the permanent effects grew worse the more people died. Still, it hadn't prepared her for what she had seen on her supply run, and she wanted to see her brother in person so that she could put her anxieties at ease.]
No worries. I'm late too. XD
That does not make the situation less uncomfortable, though. However, he will try and deal with the situation as calmly as possible, if only to stay strong for Franziska's sake
This will end poorly.]Re: No worries. I'm late too. XD

I took what I felt was the best action at the time, Franziska.

[She pauses. There are quite a few words she could use here; hurtful, worrisome, troubling. But those would be putting out more emotion than she wants to express at the moment. She sighs heavily]
foolish.
