as one journey ends, another begins
Characters: Jenna (
convections), and you!
Setting: Floors one, three, thirteen, and the dormitory hallways.
Format: Brackets, please.
Summary: Another new arrival attempts to familiarize herself with the Tower.
Warnings: Nothing at present.
Floor One
[The note from her bedside table? She's already burnt it. The news of the destruction of her world (she knew it was a possibility, but she didn't think it was a probability) had been more than enough to turn her sadness at losing her parents to rage. Some small part of her is still sad, but mostly she's angry.
Hasn't she been through enough? Does the Wise One think it's funny to torment her like this? She's sure when she stops to think about it she'll be sad again, but for now, she's just annoyed.
She is, at least, limiting herself to expressing her displeasure by angrily jabbing her spoon into her bowl of oatmeal and angrily munching on it. Distressed she may be but that's no reason to keep from doing what she needs to do, and as long as she's still alive that means there must be something. She wouldn't have been saved for no reason; she's sure of it.]
Floor Three
[Having eaten, and having mostly vented her frustrations, Jenna has moved on to the second step for survival: Gaining power. Kraden has long since drilled it into her that knowledge is power and so when she passes the library on the stairs, she steps off and makes a beeline for the shelves.
The subjects aren't all things she is familiar with. Some things the books have to do with don't exist on Weyard, but that just means she needs to learn, even if some of it might be dull. Kraden isn't here to conduct lessons so she'll just have to do it herself, which means collecting as many books as she can.
She isn't paying much attention to the people around her, and it's likely that she might come narrowly close to running into someone else. If that's the case, she'll respond with a careless little,]
Oh, sorry!
Floor Thirteen
This isn't... a Sanctum.
[But it feels like a holy place. There are pews and an altar, and though the decorations are different (certainly no one here worships the Wise One), she can tell they're of some sort of religious significance. It piques her interest enough that she lingers on this floor for quite a long time, poking about the pews and the altar and admiring the stained glass.]
Dormitory Hallways
[It is almost nightfall now and Jenna has, by the end of her long day, learned that the names of the others who are trapped here are posted outside her doors. She might look a little suspicious, going from one door to the next and reading the names, but she'll keep at it for as long as she can. If she's going to survive here she needs to know where to find people after all.]

[He noted the oatmeal, someone new. Remembering how confused he had been when he had first arrived he decided to do his best to be friendly.]
Dorm Hallways!
However the young knight pauses for a moment when she spots a slightly familiar red-head in the hallways, blinking a couple of times under her helmet. She's been gone for quite some time, assuming it's even the same girl she'd met before. It's best not to make any assumptions she figures, but she can't help but wonder what or who it is she's looking for.
So with that she approaches Jenna, a surprisingly young sounding voice, barely any older than Jenna herself speaking from underneath the massive suit of armor as she does so, trying her best to sound friendly.]
Excuse me ma'am, are you looking for somebody in particular?

On his way upstairs he caught a girl on the floor where he had met others he considered to be good friends. Out of curiosity the blonde paced over to her, hands in pockets, and stopped short of her.]
What's up?
Wow this is so late I'm sorry OTL
I'm terribly sorry.
[It's only after she apologizes that she gets a good look at the stranger, who, of course, happened to be no stranger at all. Mia's polite expression quickly turns into a genuine smile.]
Jenna, it's very good to see you.
