Summary: Luke tries on his new outfit and then decides to show it off, also practices music, Repliku tests his new non-film sword a bit and also tries his hand at drawing some more. Backdated to the first two weeks of January.

[If anyone's been in the music room for any part of January, they've likely seen or had to deal with Luke. Luke and his fairly terrible piano-playing, since he just started learning it two months prior and just now got into actually stringing notes together to make songs

Well, he's not always playing the piano. Sometimes he's staring at some sheet music he's managed to acquire and trying to make sense of it.]

Sewing Room (51), evenings

[Because even musical instruments can only hold Luke's attention so long, he can be found in the sewing room as well. Attempting to make...something. Lefties and sewing materials don't mix very well...care to laugh at his potential failure?]

Various; anytime during the first week of January

[Wherever you are, you might run into Luke--or at least pass by him on your way somewhere, but for a couple days, he's wearing something a bit fancier than normal. Part of it's for show, part of it's because it's warmer than his usual attire.]

Forest (6), afternoons

[What better to test a new sword on than Tower monsters? Or Tower animals, at least, even though the ones on floor 6 could definitely qualify for 'monster' status. Repliku's magic hasn't come back to him fully--all he can cast currently are weakened versions of the basic spells, Fire, Ice and Thunder--so he's relying on his sword skills lately. With an actual sword this time, no keyblades here right now.]

Floor 100, anytime

[When he's not sparring or in the cafeteria, he's most likely found on floor 100, still appearing to him as Destiny Islands, with a sketchbook in his lap and a small doll resting against his side.]

Cafeteria, during mealtimes

[Food is awesome, even if it's film food. Anything is better than nutrition bars, and Rep isn't missing any meal, just in case. Feel free to bother him wherever he's sitting.]

[And he is resisting the urge to throw the music he isn't going to try to play in Jade's face. But he does set one of the sheets up in front of him, finding the first couple note keys he needs to play.

It's a short piece, but it takes him about twice as long to get through it as it should take, due to unfamiliarity and an audience. He hits several wrong notes, cringing at each one.]

See, I can play it, just not very well. [Huff.]

Oh...

[Picking up the scissors again and making two more holes, one on each side below the first two, then threading the string through them as well.]

Yeah, that makes sense. [He plays with the strings a little, tightening and loosening them a few times.] It's not very good quality...but it's warmer.

But you've never even been there.

[Not that you want to go there now, it's all dead and miasma-filled and sucks.]

Do you ever go to the room with all the instruments? I'm usually in there...I can play the piano better than I can do this sewing stuff.

[He's not doing very much, just making stitches. Especially since he hasn't pulled the thread correctly and it's bunched up on the underside of his fabric. Well that's irritating.]

I normally look in the workshop before I look here. There may be better fabric there sometimes, but not often. If you must use this level's fabric, I would layer two or more pieces.

*The cloak he has is from thicker workshop material, sadly, so there's no layering demonstration there.*

I come there often but I don't usually run into you there, Luke, but I would like to hear you play if that is alright.

[ She smiled at him as he said that. It was rare to hear Luke had a hobby, but she could see that he's a bit different from the Luke she knew when he had long hair. Tear offered her glove free hand at him. ]

[But Jade does wait patiently for Luke to actually pick up a sheet and begin to play it artlessly. To his credit, he doesn't wince when Luke messes up several times. When the redhead's done, Jade pays his huffing no mind.]

Who taught you how to play?

Lorelei did. In uh...a couple months ago. He said the piano would be easier to learn than the organ.

[Luke, however, taught himself how to read the sheet music--or at least the notes, by writing the letters corresponding to the notes under said notes and then memorizing them.]

[Everyone else is boring. And yes, it is 100% his fault. And now, he is intentionally pitching his voice higher to annoy Asch.]

And I'm not wearing them all week. Especially if I have to fight, I'll get them all dirty.
