normal life
Characters: Veronica and open!
Setting: Dorm floors, 90, 74, and 39
Format: Anything!
Summary: Veronica's going about her business.
Warnings: Usual tower things
Dorms
[How long had it been since they plugged themselves into that machine and ended up in that... place? What could it even be called anything other than that?
It didn't matter regardless, she had gotten out of it unscathed. Well, moderately unscathed. Her strength had been returning quite slowly. It bothered her to no end, but that's how it is sometimes.
She poked her head out through her room's door, eyeing the hallways beyond. Slowly, the bodyguard stepped out, dressed in different attire than usual, though minus the gas mask. She might as well do some patrolling, since Rick was more than likely feeling weak. And this'll be a good chance to try her new outfit.]
Floor 90
[This floor was one that Veronica frequented for a few reasons. She'd found this floor the first time she arrived and, despite the mermaid monsters, she found it to be quite pleasant.
So she sat on the sand, watching the water slowly go towards and away from the sand.
And then she disappears. As in, she blinks out of existence. She'll be back in a minute though.]
Floor 74
[This wasn't a floor that Veronica went to very often, but she was feeling adventurous despite her weakened state. Still dressed in her new suit, blades at the ready, she made her way through the shimmering caverns, her eyes adjusting to the dark quite easily.
Of course, there were creepers everywhere now. And one exploded behind her.
she can handle this of course.]
Floor 39
[Veronica's going to be at the gym for a while, using the workout equipment that hasn't already been destroyed to try and build some muscle. Even if she was feeling weaker, that didn't mean she should sit around and do nothing.]

Sephiroth was honestly... hard to not notice. In a tower full of exceptional, and very strange, beings, he stood out for a number of reasons. Most notably, she remembered him for killing Rick and nearly killing her.
Of course, her eyes drifted to him every so often, watching in confusion as he... just sat there. The weights get a more curious look, enough to actually stop her workout.]

The weight rested on the floor shudders more noticeably. Then it's as if the space between Sephiroth and it takes a breath, and it slowly starts to lift from off the floor.
Slowly, as if hesitantly the weight climbs a few more inches into the air. But it's clear it's taking great effort, a great power balance to lift a third at the same time as the other two are still levitated.]
no subject
This was something else though, psychic powers always were.]
..W-wow... [She gasped quietly, watching the weights move though the air.]

Before then the balance is lost, and all three weights crash simultaneously to the matted floor. The breath of power had been his own, and as such Sephiroth takes a physical gasp in, before opening his eyes. Looking to one, two- and then the third weight which he hadn't been able to keep in the air for very long; inevitably his gaze is drawn to the other presence nearby.
Veronica is observed silently, inside slits to vivid nearly-glowing green eyes blink twice in her direction. As if verifying his focus.]

Uh... h-hey there.

He frowns but it's more due to the discomfort than Veronica's presence there; not that she'd really be able to tell. Other than his presence doesn't have that level of intense foreboding about it that it would have done if she had been his discomfort.
Sephiroth blinks a few times and then turns his head away from Veronica a little before answering.]
Hello.
no subject
T-that.... That w-was s-something, w-what you just did.
[She might be trying to compliment him. It's hard to tell.]
no subject
Hm.
[Another slight spike of the migraine making itself known makes the side of his mouth twitch in a slight scowl but Sephiroth than shakes his head a few times to try to dismiss it. The gymnasium swims a little while he regains equilibrium; he'll just remain sat cross-legged for the time being.]
It's getting there.
no subject
[How does conversation again?]
Does it... h-hurt?
no subject
A slight headache now. [Understatement.] It'll pass.
[And to prove a point Sephiroth bends one leg in front of the other and levers himself to his feet in a smooth motion-
-only then to partly stumble to one side, an audible grumble released as he re-finds his center of balance.]
no subject
[It was a bit odd, watching the killing machine she'd fought with before stumble about, experiencing headaches. She wasn't sure what to make of it.]
no subject
Sephiroth scowls, both at Veronica and himself for appearing so out-of-control, so weak. Forcing his internal will into ignoring the headache he makes himself stand up straighter again. Flicking a swathe of long silver hair that has fallen forward around one of his shoulders.
Never mind the slightest feeling of pressure releasing in his sinuses. That second that might foretell a nosebleed.]
I'm fine.
[Stubborn as ever.]
