mages are bad swordsmen
Characters: Naoya and open
Setting: Floor 25
Format: Whichever.
Summary: Naoya got a sword, and is trying to remember how to use it properly. Unfortunately, physical skills are not so easily remembered.
Warnings: Naoya is probably only a danger to himself in this log, really. At least he has a healing spell.
[Naoya - or rather, Cain - had used swords before. It wasn't an uncommon weapon through the years, and it wasn't always that he'd had relatively weak physical strength. In some lives, he'd been extremely physically strong.]
[However, this life - Naoya - is… less so. He's still strong, but when he lifts the arming sword he struggles slightly with the weight. He needs to practice, and the meadow has enough space to wave a sharp object around with a minimal risk of hurting someone other than himself.]
[Which is how he's come to be in the meadow, going through old drills. His movements are a mixture of various styles, but he's rusty with them. His movements, while quick, lack power. The weight of the blade is significant enough that he occasionally has to set it down and rub his wrists, which is a good time for anyone who's been watching to speak or be noticed.]

[It's not like the final battle will be peaceful.]

Yeah...that's true. It's probably best to be able to do what we can, huh...
[... She should probably practice the fine art of punching people in the face at some point. Well, she got lots of practice with that back in the Lockdown, but that was...gosh...a while ago.]

We'll win. You know that.

[She tries to straighten her hair back out, fake-grumbling a little as she does. ... That said, it's a lot less easier to be certain of things when you can't see them coming anymore.
It's a strange feeling.]

[Enjoy your noogies, Asako.]

... Or at least lots of flailing. Lots and lots of flailing.] STOP THAT!

[Is that the tickle monster? It's the tickle monster. Rawr. :3<]

Or, again, lots of tiny rage.] I RULE DEMONS, STOP TICKLING ME RIGHT NOW!
[... She says while trying not to laugh.]
no subject
[Nope can't stop won't stop.]

May as well enjoy it while it lasts - and on that note, she is going to be trying to bat Naoya's hands away, fake-harrumphing the whole time.] Just because I'm not freakishly tall and augmenting it with damn geta...!!
no subject
It's not my fault I got the genetic advantage.
no subject
[Fake-harrumph! ... with a cat smile. Yeah, she's not really genuinely ticked.]
... it's...really been a while since things were this calm.

[She closes her eyes thoughtfully.]
It never does stay calm for long here, unfortunately...and the countdown's going to be over soon, isn't it.
no subject
... Will you help?

I know I've been quiet and kinda under the weather lately, but come on, getting involved in the end of the world is kind of my thing these days, isn't it?
no subject
[Does he sound a little... guilty? No, of course not.]
I want you to choose on your own.

[She looks over at him and grins.]
So it's really the same thing, don't you think?
no subject
[He still doesn't understand why the Abel in his world would go for God's plan, though.]
