Summary: Somebody's po’d about suddenly being not at home!

[He’ll only stay in this room as long as he’s forced here, he resolves. Being caught so completely, staring up at an unfamiliar ceiling, is neither pleasant nor comforting. In fact, if he allowed himself these thoughts anyway, it rather terrifies him. Nothing like being dropped into an unfamiliar and likely dangerous situation with a body that won’t move. His mind reels as he waits: Gotta be a highblood plot, right? But how would they have found him… hmm. And what about his cavalreapers? Everything feels off-kilter and strange, and the very moment he can, he slips across the communal respiteblock floor, wings half opened, and tries the door]

[AND LATER he’s moving carefully through each floor, suspicious and irritated. His head is held at an odd angle as he explores, lowered slightly so he’s forced to peer up through his brows to see, but his horns carve a sharp, dangerous arc through the air, settled at just about goring level. It’s not really the best threat, but he’s made them work for him in the past when he’s been desperate. And hey, if this isn’t a desperate situation here, without his soldiers or his beasts or his weapons, then he doesn’t know what is! So yeah... watch out, guys… This troll fit to snap at the first thing that looks at him wrong…]

[He grins and nods] There's lots of trolls here! Maybe some of your friends are here!

Maybe. In fact uh... probably. At least a few, if there are so many of us.

[...did I mention 'friend' means the same thing as 'enemy' to a troll? Yep, that's definitely the definition of friend he's going with here...!]

What are their names sir? I might know them! [Romeo doesn't know that, but if he did he would interpret it as an enemy is just a friend you haven't won over yet. Pretty much the same thing right?]

Oh, there's far too many of them for me to know all their names...! Probably I would know them if I saw them though. [Since most of them are highbloods... pff]

[He is the most optimistic! Also how does he not know his friends names? That's very strange!] Well I hope you find them sir! The tower can be really scary but when you have lots of friends it's not too bad!

[He's... sort of confused by that statement! He is not sure why having more friends would be better then having less friends when friends are almost as likely to try to kill you as a dangerous thing...! Humans sure are weird...]

I'm sure I will come across them eventually. [...] Do you have any uh... friends here?

[He grins] Only Piccolo came with me! [He reaches into his pocket and brings out a white weasel to show the Summoner] But I made lots of friends here! Everyones really nice!

[Aww lookit dis kid and his lusus ('8 Smiles at the weasel, though he doesn't touch it. Because that would be rude and also he would probably get bit fff]

That is uh... very good. I am glad you've found a number of friends, since that seems to be a thing that you enjoy. [Even if he doesn't get it!] It also must be nice that your lusus came with you here...!

[He smiles again, he does like having friends, friends make things less scary!]

Oh Piccolo isn't my lusus mister Summoner [Napeta taught him about lusus'!] Human's don't have lusus' mister Summoner, Piccolo is just my friend!

[...wait. WHAT. HUMANS ARE WEIRD!! Blinks, squinting down at this kid. Are you trolling him, little boy? He does not appreciate that...!]

What do you mean you don't have lusii?

[Romeo couldn't troll if he tried, he shakes his head and smiles]

We don't have lusii mister Summoner, we have parents. Like other human people and we grow inside their tummies and then they bring us up! Most people have two, but some only have one and some don't have any and that's sad but other people sometimes look after them.

[...this kid is trolling him. WIGGLERS DON'T GROW INSIDE PEOPLE EW EW EW]

That doesn't make any sense...! Why would the host humans take care of wiggler humans? [How do the wiggler humans get out...... lksjdf looks... so grossed out by all of this!]

Well because they are their children, and they look after them until they grow up. Sometimes they have lots of them, lots of children come from the same human and they are called brothers and sisters. It the parents job to look after the children, though sometimes they don't and sometimes they are mean to them but not always.

But... [Confused huff]

Why is it the 'parents'' job? Don't that have real jobs to do?

Well they do, but if your gonna have kids you gotta look after them. It's the rules. At least when they are babies, once they are bigger you don't need to look after them so much, so they can help you work or some people sell them. But that's not really nice and people shouldn't do that.

[...sort of understands? At least the selling part. He got sold once, and it was one of the worst... experiences of his life. But, lusii can go with their kids, so it wasn't like he lost his guardian or anything. In fact, a guardian abandoning its charge like that sounds like a pretty unconscionable thing to him. Wow, maybe humans are not the squishy gentle things he thought they were... Hmm]

How do they uhm... get stronger if adults are always taking care of them? Do the 'parents,' put them through their trials, too...?

[Romeo thinks for a moment not really understanding what the Summoner meant by trials] Well the parents help them get strong, and teach them stuff so they are ready to be adults and work.

Why wouldn't they just, make the lusii do it...? That seems uh... more efficient, and also lusii don't abandon their wigglers...!

Well because humans don't have lusii, and parents don't always abandon their kids but the kids have to go away at some point because they have to grow up.

[wait wat]

Why...? Shouldn't, guardians watch over their charges... as long as they can?

[He shakes his head] No mister Summoner, if they look after them for ages then the kids never learn how to grow up! Or how to be adults.

[...maybe he should stop grilling this kid about how humans live their lives. It's sounding more and more disturbing as he goes along. Sighs a little]

I'm still not sure, I understand. But I guess that's okay... for right now.

I guess it's very different than Lusii because they stay with you forever and everyone has one, but you got to share parents and they are people to. Lusii's job is to protect their wrigglers right?

Well sometimes parents need protecting or helped so then the kids have to be the one that helps them!
