It's a bad time to look like a ghost.

Summary: Reaction to the network posts. It's not a good time to look like a ghost when glanced at in passing.

[Naminé is not about to respond to those posts. She can't even quite bring herself to touch the computer again at all, despite the fact that that second message is stuck on repeat. Moving away from the terminal seems to be beyond her at this point, too, or perhaps it's something else that keeps her sitting there in the pale light of the screen, totally still, her eyes wide and her white-knuckled hands gripping the sides of the chair. Dressed in white and with her already light skin blanched, she looks more than a little ghostly when viewed in passing.]

[Romeo has just left Molly, he had been with her when the posts had come up, which was good because they had been scary. He was still very shaken when he was exciting the library and saw the girl there. She looked really upset and he went over to her.]

Miss? Is everything alright? [She was really pale, maybe she was ill?]

[Naminé's aware enough to recognize that she's heard something that wasn't there before, but it takes her a moment to figure out whether it was on the computer or in the room itself. Once she realizes she did, in fact, hear something that wasn't coming from the terminal, she turns suddenly and sharply, eyes wide. She's not ill, although she looks the part, and feels it, too. The fact that she doesn't recognize him doesn't help her become any less disoriented, so her response is a,]

Wh--?!

[Romeo realises he scared her takes a careful step back] Sorry miss!

Do you need help? [Because she really does look ill, and scared and Romeo knows he should try and help everbody, even if he is scared himself]

[The apology seems to help a little, and she pauses before answering in order to get a better look at him. He's... not exactly intimidating, and doesn't seem to mean her any harm, so she manages to relax at least well enough to belatedly shake her head.] N-- no, I'm alright. You don't have to apologize, you didn't do anything wrong. I was just... surprised. [She breathes out a small sigh. Surprised because she was scared, anyway, but that's not his fault.]

[Romeo smiles and nodded, he felt bad for scaring her, but the tower was a scary place so he knew sometimes normal things that wern't scary could scare people. He looked at the computer that was still making the scary noises]

I think they are trapped [His voice was sad, the first sound had scared him but this one just made him sad, and want to rescue whoever was crying out.]

[She tries to smile back, but that smile is quickly usurped by a frown at the comment.] ...Maybe. [Her voice is sad, too, and her eyes drift toward the computer, then quickly away. She hopes it's not the truth, that it really is something planned by the people who control the tower... even if that's a scary thought, too. It's just that since there were two messages, the first a very different sort than the second, it's an easy theory to form - especially since she can't help wanting to not believe that there really is someone who's trapped like that.] Unless it's some kind of trick. [It definitely tugged at her non-heartstrings, even so.]

[He frowns he hadn't thought of that...] You mean they might want us to try and rescue them, and then hurt us?

[But what if it wasn't a trick? What if the bad people had trapped a little kid and were hurting them. They couldn't do nothing... even if it was a trick...]

They sound scared though!

Maybe. There may really be someone trapped. [Which was what had been so chilling - hearing that and thinking that maybe someone was really going through that.] But that could also be part of it. Or... maybe they only want to upset us. It's just-- that first message didn't seem like it was from that little girl, and the two messages were so close together and strange that it wouldn't be surprising if there was more to it than just someone trying to find help. [And she tells herself that over and over because right now it's a more palatable thought, and now that there's someone else present she finds it in her to reach out and touch the computer only long enough to shut off that infernal noise. Once she's drawn her hands back she clasps them in front of her.]

[Romeo nodded and frowned again] It might be the bad people trying to just make us scared and upset. But...

[He looked at the computer that was now silent] If they really are trapped, and are trying to get help and we don't do anything, we are just as bad as the bad people...

....

[There's no arguing with that. She sighs, then nods, brow knitting.] If only this were simpler. Why do they have to do things like this? [It's not a real question.]

[He answers it anyways] Because they are bad bad people and we need to stop them and make them let us go!

[That makes her raise her head slightly to regard him, still frowning.] You're right, but-- how could we do something like that?

I... don't know yet... They are really strong and I don't know how we can beat them!

[She lets out a quiet sigh and looks down again. She's briefly quiet, then,] It seems so impossible. But... maybe there is a way, even if we aren't the ones who can make it happen.

[Romeo nodded, it seemed very difficult but nothing was impossible!] We just need to keep our spirits up and we will find a way back! Don't be scared, I will look after you!

[He brought his fist up to his heart and peered into her eyes, tilting his head so he could do so even though she was looking at the floor.]

--! [She starts and blinks back at him, leaning back a little. It's not out of offense, only surprise. It's so strange to hear that from someone, especially someone she hardly knows, but she finds herself smiling anyway. It kind of reminds her of someone from her own world. Still, she can't help asking,] Are you sure you want to say that?

[He nods looking completely serious.] I will make sure nothing happens to you miss! [He smiles at her] Oh I'm Romeo by the way!

[It's a kind thing to say, but still her smile gets a little wry. It's... funny, but not in the amusing way, that it seems like there's always someone trying to protect her. The name makes her eyes widen.] --Wait, Romeo...? [She knows that name.] Do you know someone named Ψiioniic?

[Romeo nodded and grinned] Yes I know Psiioniic, miss! He's really nice! He's my friend, do you know him too?

Yes, I do...! [Her smile comes back, wider than before.] And-- you're right, he is really nice. He told me about you once.

[Romeo smiles even brighter] Did he? He's a very kind person, is he your friend too!

Mmhm! [She nods.] I... think it'd be okay to say that, yes. [She's always a bit hesitant, considering her Nobodyhood.] He said you were sweet, and that he thought I'd like you.

I am sure you are! [He smiles again though being complimented by an adult was a bit awkward]

[Her shoulders rise slightly, even before she gives a small shrug. ~~Awkward in a good way, she'd hope.~~]

[Yes a good way, Romeo is still coming to terms with the fact that not all adults are as horrible as the ones he knew back home.

He frowns at the shrug though] Do you not want to be friends with him miss?
