(no subject)

Characters: [livejournal.com profile] forcingrins and you
Setting: dormitories/random hallways
Format: starting with brackets but I'll match to whatever!
Summary: The Neophyte wakes up and 1NV3ST1G4T3S.
Warnings: none yet

[It's jarring, to have a thousand hands dragging you toward a gallows and an unjust fate one second and to be paralyzed on a flat (albeit somewhat soft) surface the next. Jarring and, if she's being honest with herself, terrifying. Horrifying. She forces herself to breath as the seconds tick by because it's all she can do, and after a thirty-second long eternity she's free. She practically jumps out of the bed but her assailants are gone, as is the courtblock and all of its inhabitants.

Instead she's wearing unfamiliar clothes and is lacking in the accessories that make her feel herself--her glasses are gone, leaving her yellow-teal eyes naked. So is her cane, and her gloves. Her boots. The chain with the forbidden symbol that she wears close to her heart. A cursory examination of the room leads her to the letters at her bedside and, even better, the chest at the foot of her bed, where she is relieved to find all of those items she was missing and more. Before she leaves the room she'll dress in attire that is proper for a legislacerator and poke around the living space she's found herself in.]

[And once she's done in her room she'll venture out, appropriately dressed and even more appropriately cautious, exploring her new environment while she tries to decide whether she believes the contents of the letters or not. It can be unwise to interrupt a legislacerator's investigation, but in this case a little interruption might be beneficial to her work.]

[What in the world??
Mindfang pretty much stops dead in her tracks, staring at Redglare for a long moment. What is with all of her friends and showing up here older than usual...?
Ah well. No point not saying hello; they were friends, afterall.]

Why heeeeeeeello there, my dear Redglare. [You get a flirtatious grin.]

[identity profile] gam8lignants.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
[She pouts playfully.]

Can't even recognize me now that you're so oooooooold~?

[identity profile] gam8lignants.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
[She sighs a little with agitation.
Redglare wasn't THAT much older than she was now-- did she really forget all about her in such a short time?]

Spinneret Mindfang? We've known each other since we were pretty much wrigglers?

[identity profile] gam8lignants.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
Well, it kind of is my name. So.

[Mindfang quirks a brow at the older troll, arms folding across her chest.]

[identity profile] gam8lignants.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
[Peaceful alternate worlds do that to you. ):]

Seriously???????? I didn't even know anyone was unfortunate enough to have to share a name with me. I mean seriously-- Spinneret?

But if a criminal had it, I think I would've heard....? Things like that are a rare occurrence, after all.

[identity profile] gam8lignants.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Are we even talking about the same Alternia.....?

[She furrows her brow at Redglare, shifting her stance a little in a more defensive nature.]

[identity profile] gam8lignants.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
[Redglare, you are quite the conundrum to poor bittyfang.]

As far as I'm aware.

[She pauses, fangs chewing gently on her lower lip.]

When's the first time we ever met, in your memory?

[identity profile] gam8lignants.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
Did you play a game with me and the others at my age?

[identity profile] gam8lignants.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
You're not the Redglare I know, then. Older or otherwise.

[She narrows her eyes a little.]

Alternia is a peaceful place where I come from, except for the occasional grumble about blood equality.

[She's obviously being much more careful now, keeping a good distance between the two.]

[identity profile] gam8lignants.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
It's essentially a stalemate. No one has done anything to benefit either direction.

[She doesn't really know if she wants to hang out with this scary adult Redglare, now. Way too many bad vibes.]

[identity profile] gam8lignants.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
It isn't. The Empress is a rather kind troll, actually. Can't say as much for her heir, though.
Our highbloods accept and allow the input of others into their rule and reasoning, but as of right now there is much pressure to keep things as they are. There are many careers filled by the lower bloods they are afraid won't be taken care of if everyone has the freedom to work as they choose-- or something like that. I'm not much for politics-- all I know is mostly due to the rantings of my friend Signless.

[She is pretty much ready to gank your luck and abscond at any given moment, bro.]

But it doesn't really matter now, I guess. The world was destroyed when we entered the Medium.

[identity profile] gam8lignants.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
Nope. I have no idea where wherever this place is, honestly. Our world had already been destroyed before I came here.

[She pauses, trying to think of how to describe sgrub.]

My friends and I, we started playing a game that would allow us to create a whole new universe. But we didn't realize it would effectively destroy our world in return, once we all entered the Medium.

Or something like that.
