Characters:
forcingrins and you
Setting: dormitories/random hallways
Format: starting with brackets but I'll match to whatever!
Summary: The Neophyte wakes up and 1NV3ST1G4T3S.
Warnings: none yet
[It's jarring, to have a thousand hands dragging you toward a gallows and an unjust fate one second and to be paralyzed on a flat (albeit somewhat soft) surface the next. Jarring and, if she's being honest with herself, terrifying. Horrifying. She forces herself to breath as the seconds tick by because it's all she can do, and after a thirty-second long eternity she's free. She practically jumps out of the bed but her assailants are gone, as is the courtblock and all of its inhabitants.
Instead she's wearing unfamiliar clothes and is lacking in the accessories that make her feel herself--her glasses are gone, leaving her yellow-teal eyes naked. So is her cane, and her gloves. Her boots. The chain with the forbidden symbol that she wears close to her heart. A cursory examination of the room leads her to the letters at her bedside and, even better, the chest at the foot of her bed, where she is relieved to find all of those items she was missing and more. Before she leaves the room she'll dress in attire that is proper for a legislacerator and poke around the living space she's found herself in.]
[And once she's done in her room she'll venture out, appropriately dressed and even more appropriately cautious, exploring her new environment while she tries to decide whether she believes the contents of the letters or not. It can be unwise to interrupt a legislacerator's investigation, but in this case a little interruption might be beneficial to her work.]

No way.]

Excuse me.

This is the coolest thing to ever happen ever ever.]
You're Redglare!
[Oops. Not mature and a little childish.]

Yes.
Though if you're under the impression we already know each other I'm afraid you're mistaken.
no subject
No. I am your descendant!
[Soooo cooooool!]
no subject
That's an odd claim, don't you think?
no subject
Maybe! But isn't it kind of obvious?
no subject
I suppose I can see some similarities between us. Your lusus, for example.

Tell me about Pyralspite!
no subject
You would know her name. First tell me where I can find her.
no subject
I don't think she is here! Most of our lusii aren't.
no subject
Yours is.

Experiments such as?
no subject
They made some of us really paranoid, or caused hallucinations. Most of them were psychological, but a few were physical.
no subject
Not a bad prize, considering, though she is rather small.
no subject
She is a little smaller than she was at home, but I don't mind!

Many questions remain, but I think the most pressing is...what is my descendant's name?

She assists me in my work, of course. Quite recently I was given an assignment to go after a particular gamblignant of note, a notorious criminal who commanded a vast fleet of rogues and was known for slipping out of the hands of legislacerators more experienced than I. In particular her lusus was huge and deadly, a voracious spider.
Needless to say, her pithy fleet was nothing against Pyralspite's flames, and when the gamblignant's lusus rose to defend her......Pyralspite swallowed the beast whole. And that is how the Neophyte remanded into custody the Marquise.

You're talking about Mindfang!
no subject
Ahaha, yes! I wonder how you know that, Terezi.
