Characters:
forcingrins and you
Setting: dormitories/random hallways
Format: starting with brackets but I'll match to whatever!
Summary: The Neophyte wakes up and 1NV3ST1G4T3S.
Warnings: none yet
[It's jarring, to have a thousand hands dragging you toward a gallows and an unjust fate one second and to be paralyzed on a flat (albeit somewhat soft) surface the next. Jarring and, if she's being honest with herself, terrifying. Horrifying. She forces herself to breath as the seconds tick by because it's all she can do, and after a thirty-second long eternity she's free. She practically jumps out of the bed but her assailants are gone, as is the courtblock and all of its inhabitants.
Instead she's wearing unfamiliar clothes and is lacking in the accessories that make her feel herself--her glasses are gone, leaving her yellow-teal eyes naked. So is her cane, and her gloves. Her boots. The chain with the forbidden symbol that she wears close to her heart. A cursory examination of the room leads her to the letters at her bedside and, even better, the chest at the foot of her bed, where she is relieved to find all of those items she was missing and more. Before she leaves the room she'll dress in attire that is proper for a legislacerator and poke around the living space she's found herself in.]
[And once she's done in her room she'll venture out, appropriately dressed and even more appropriately cautious, exploring her new environment while she tries to decide whether she believes the contents of the letters or not. It can be unwise to interrupt a legislacerator's investigation, but in this case a little interruption might be beneficial to her work.]

Uh... sorry? [Tilts his head kinda awkwardly so his horn is... less near her] You grew up really fast...
no subject
You must mistake me for someone else.
no subject
You are very similar to a girl I met, a little while ago...! I didn't think there were any other adults here. [Except the Condesce but... he still has little cuts on his cheek from the last time they met, so the less said about her, the better really]

[Heh...!] Well it's good to know I'm not alone, I think. [Assuming, of course, that this lady is as open about hemospectrum stuff as the girl who looks like her! That is probably not a thing he should assume lkjsdf but he is being hopeful for the moment]

It would hardly be pleasant to be alone in a sea of children and inferior species, I agree.

I'm the Summoner. You?
no subject
Neophyte Redglare.
no subject
Have we met before, maybe...?
no subject
I don't think so. I think I would remember.
no subject
[Thinks for a moment longer... and then chuckles faintly. Heh!]
Yeah, you probably would. [...careful Summoner, your ego is showing there]
no subject
Indeed. The horns alone are such an annoyance that any previous meetings of ours would no doubt be branded on my thinkpan for posterity.
no subject
Annoying now, but you'll uh, miss them once we part.
no subject
And how could I not? Walking unimpeded down a hallway is terribly overrated.
no subject
You don't have to take my word for it...! I've only seen it happen time and time again, is all.

[Though he supposes everyone does the bidding of the Condesce at some point... at least until they actively try to stop. Something about legislacerators working so closely with the sham that Alternian justice is sets him off, unfortunately. His smile goes sort of tense at the corners...]
It is unwise to do a great many things that I have done, Neophyte.
no subject
I see.
no subject
[He is going to return to that playful tone from before, but there's a... sort of dangerous flash in his eyes. He really doesn't like that toothy smile tbh!]
I hope I haven't given you a bad first impression...! [HE ACTUALLY DOESN'T CARE lsjdf He just hopes she knows he won't be letting himself get arrested, if that's her new plan]
no subject
Not at all.
no subject
[After some thought, he is returning to his original theory that she was just teasing, and now everything is even more awkward. Backpedaling backpedaling]
Well... good, then. I think, it would be a terrible thing... to not get along with the only other uh, reasonable adult here. [/dead eyes the Condesce]
no subject
Right. Rational minds must stick together, yes?
no subject
Yes uh... [Chuckles. Trying to lighten the mood a little!!!!] I've found that, that is usually the best way, to go about things...!
