[Who knew being attacked by thorn covered vines could tear up your legs so much? They'd done a pretty good job of ruining her legs. Luckily, most of her cuts hadn't required stitches, but her legs were still bandaged up from ankle to thigh. She's refused to use the crutches they've offered her in a fit of stubbornness, so she's stuck on the bed.

[She tilts her head curiously.]

[A cautious pause before he lays a hand on her legs. Gently.]

How bad does it hurt?

[Yep this is pretty much the worst thing he could have asked. Telling the truth is only going to make him be stupid and worry, but they're doing that whole honesty thing.

She grins at him.]

That is kind of a vague question! Don't I get a scale or something?

[That's all he needs. Without another word, he turns to pull a chair next to the bed and sits down, folding his arms across his chest. His eyes close so that he may keep his concentration.

And then casually, Terezi might start to feel some of the pain in her legs slipping away.]

[That snaps him out of it, but the pain doesn't return. He just gives her a hard look.]

Can't a guy get some shut eye in an infirmary?

[Its the only answer he can give her. But he'll have to wait until she stops paying attention to take the rest of it.]
