The Cafeteria
[Just another day in the tower. Another morning, another round of coffee to get everything going, and oh no, Eiji just fumbled while pouring and spilled it on his hand. He jerks his hand away out of reflex, but then stares at it when he realizes that he didn't feel any heat. He can kind of feel that there's liquid there, and he can see the red mark coming up, but... No pain. No burning feeling.]

[After a breakfast that was remarkably lacking in taste - even for tower food - Eiji heads for the media room. He recalled that this started when he was using the glitchy terminals - he thought the weird events were to blame for muddy visuals and muffled audio, but after this morning... Time to test things. He powers up a game, and everything seems fine for now...]

I...uh. I don't know if they could do anything about it. The doctors back home couldn't tell there was anything inside me before. [Eiji forces a grin, then holds his hand up - still burned, but otherwise back to normal.] But it's gone now - nothing to worry about!
