Floor 1 - Dining
[Kanaya is sitting in the cafeteria with a place of food in front of her, it is mostly untouched, well mostly uneaten, she has moved the food around the plate quite a few times. Every time she goes to take a bite she puts the fork down right before she does. She's thinking too hard to stop and eat. Kanaya may be noticeably uneasy.]

Floor 7 - Pool
[She removed her clothing and put on one of the bathing suits the tower provided even if she didn't plan on actually swimming. Instead she puts her feet in the water, occasionally kicking them to stir up the water a bit, but it doesn't look like she is going to go in anytime soon]

Floor 14 - Media room
[Kanaya is reading a book. Or she was reading the book at one point or another. If you've been watching for a while she hasn't turned the page in a really long time. In fact, she may have fallen asleep.]

Floor 15 - Work shop
[It's been a while since she's spent time in the workshop, she hopes that she can distract herself for a bit, to take her mind off of what has been troubling her. It may not go as she planned]

[When she gets close, it's pretty clear this is not who she thought it was. Or rather, who she was hoping it was.

She crouches next to the couch, propping her head up on her arms as she looks at her.]

How strange, you look just like her.

[Muttering to herself, since she doesn't want to be rude and wake her up.]

[Her sleep isn't that deep though so even with her low voice she stirs and wakes up]

[Kanaya rubs the sleep out her eyes and looks at Disciple]

Disciple, you have returned. I'm sure Signless is very pleased.

[She blinks, leaning back. Oops! She didn't mean to wake her.]

I'm afraid I don't remember being here before.

Unfortunately that is a common occurrence among trolls here, but you were in fact here before. Considering you don't remember I should apologize, I am not Dolorosa nor is she here. I am her descendent, Kanaya Maryam, it is nice to meet you again.

Kanaya, was it? It's nice to meet you. It's no wonder you resemble her if you are indeed her descendant.

[She smiles, but she can't quite hide the sadness at hearing that Dolorosa isn't here.]

I am told that she was a wonderful person, and that I share many qualities with her. I hope I get to meet her one day, and with this tower it is very likely that I will. It seems to have a fondness for trolls.

I am sure you do, though I don't know you well enough to say yet. I hope to be able to see her again as well.

Have you been here long?

[Kanaya sits back in her chair and looks at the ceiling] It feels like sweeps but it is more like perigees, or in humans terms I think it has been six months, that's about a fourth of a sweep. [what are troll terms, sob] I fear I've grown accustomed to being here, but I would still like to return to the Viel.

Oh, has anyone told you about the fate of Alternia?

I see. The Veil?

[She nods at the question.]

Signless told me of it.

The Veil is where we escaped to after the destruction of Alternia, without the Veil we would not be alive. [she looks around] I guess this tower could have saved us before it was necessary to go to The Veil but it did not.

I see. It seems to have saved me from a time long before yours, then. Since I should doubt I lived long enough to see any descendants hatched.

Yes, we're of different generations. I wonder if another will appear.

It is entirely possible, I should think. Unless yours is the last generation to be.

It is also possible that my generation is the last one to be. Alternia was destroyed but I was gifted a matriorb for, ah, participating in an experiment here. I do not know how to raise it though.
