Floor 1 - Dining
[Kanaya is sitting in the cafeteria with a place of food in front of her, it is mostly untouched, well mostly uneaten, she has moved the food around the plate quite a few times. Every time she goes to take a bite she puts the fork down right before she does. She's thinking too hard to stop and eat. Kanaya may be noticeably uneasy.]

Floor 7 - Pool
[She removed her clothing and put on one of the bathing suits the tower provided even if she didn't plan on actually swimming. Instead she puts her feet in the water, occasionally kicking them to stir up the water a bit, but it doesn't look like she is going to go in anytime soon]

Floor 14 - Media room
[Kanaya is reading a book. Or she was reading the book at one point or another. If you've been watching for a while she hasn't turned the page in a really long time. In fact, she may have fallen asleep.]

Floor 15 - Work shop
[It's been a while since she's spent time in the workshop, she hopes that she can distract herself for a bit, to take her mind off of what has been troubling her. It may not go as she planned]

[Aradia wasn't really used to being around large bodies of water - on Alternia, for one of her status to have ventured near the ocean would have been suicide. But here in the tower, with the pool right there, she figured now was a good a time as any to start - especially since she couldn't really die permanently, not from drowning at least.

When she got there, however, she saw a familiar figure and made her way over, original plan put aside for now]

Kanaya! I didn't know you were here.

[Kanaya looks up from the water]

Aradia! You are back again. You've been here before but if you didn't know that I was here then I assume you were sent back again. I have been in this tower the longest out of the trolls, people seem to come and go.

[She smiles]

Yes, I came back or so people keep telling me. I don't remember even being here...but it's not the strangest thing to have happened, all things considered.

How long have you been here?

Considering we destroyed our world and created another via a computer game, I don't think being trapped in a tower is all that odd, even in your case where you've been in and out with no memories each time you return. Odder things have happened here and will most likely happen again. [she looks out at the water]

In human terms it has been six months, so about a quarter of a sweep. It seems like so much longer though.

That makes it sound like this isn't the first time I've arrived after being here before.

Still, that's a while to be somewhere...I expect you know a lot about this place if that's the case.

I may have miscounted but I think this is the third time I've had to greet you for the first time here. But again, I may be mistaken about that. You'll find that trolls come and go here, but usually come back after not too long with no memory of having been here previously.

Yes, I know more than I would like about this place. Is there anything in specific that you would like to know?

How odd. Is it just the trolls that seems to happen to?

I don't think so. I guess I'm just curious to know what you might know that I may not have been told already. Which...I haven't been told all that much. Only that there are multiple versions here of some of us and one of the Eridan's here is from a world where the hemospectrum was overturned and things just got worse. But about the tower? I'm still learning.

Others come and go but it is mostly the trolls. There are also more trolls than we knew were alive, our ancestors.

This tower has alternates, there is another Kanaya in this tower with the same blood color as the Karkat of our group. There's another Karkat who has Vriska's blood color. The tower, well, we know very little about it unfortunately. We're trapped here, the tower is run by three men. There are underground levels that we cannot get to.

Yes, I've run into some of the adult trolls...my ancestor seemed very skittish for some reason. And I've met the other Eridan, as I said, but that's about it.

What's it like having an alternate you here?

[The part about who the tower is run by has been filed away for later. Right now she's more interested in troll shenanigans]

I don't think I've spoken to your ancestor, but I have spoken to the other Eridan. He seemed surprised that I knew you, but then again in his timeline he is a lowblood, so the surprise is understandable.

It is... interesting to say the least. She is the same as me in some aspects, but different in others. Her relationships are different than mine. [and maybe she worries that Vriska will enjoy Red!Kanaya's company more than her own] The oddest part is looking at yourself.

Yes...I'm led to understand that in his world, their Empress is me or at least a version of me. Perhaps that has to do with it.

Yes, that must be strange...is she much similar to Karkat at all?

That is correct, you're the Empress of his world, or someone who is exactly like you is. Well, not exactly.

Not really, so is much more like me than him, admittingly I haven't spoken much to her.

Someone of my blood colour and with my name, if nothing else.

Huh. Then I suppose if blood has any relation on how we are, it's not quite as formative as some would have us believe. Or maybe it's just that in her world, her blood isn't shunned quite so much. I'll have to ask her, assuming I run into her.

I think that it is just as shunned but she handles it differently than Karkat does. She handles it, well, like I would.

I see. Well, I'm certainly intrigued to meet her.

Meeting those with other blood colors is often an interesting experience. It gets confusing when it's through text.

I can imagine. Just trying to think of someone with your quirk in a different colour...I suppose it's better than having the same quirk and colour so you're not sure which version it is.

[She can't help but giggle] Who'd have thought there were so many alternates of us?

We have a cerulean Karkat here, the combination of quirks is very interesting.

You understand timelines better than I do, I figure that they are alternate timelines or different offshoots of our timeline. Assuming that we are the main timeline, which we may not be.

You mean like Vriska? That sounds like not the greatest combination I've ever heard.

Hmm, well. I suppose a lot would depend on how many of the offshoots played SGRUB. Eridan - the other Eridan - I know hasn't and I don't think it's a stretch to say that's true for their world as a whole. Unless, of course, we were never meant to play the game but I can't think that his is the one true alpha timeline. That would just be too awful.

Not all of them have played Sgrub. A while ago there was another Sollux here, or there were two of them, Pollux and Castor, and they were like Sollux, only two of them and they were in a circus? That sounds a bit odd but it is true.

Wow, that does sound unusual. Though I suppose not so much that Sollux, of any of us, has an alternate where there's two of him...still, I'm not sure I'd know what to do with more than one.

[And she giggles here a little]

You'll run into the alternate versions sooner or later, it's inevitable here, there are only so many people here. Many of the humans are from different worlds as well, they vary as much as we do, even if they all have the same blood color.

Hmm, yes...I've only met a few of the humans but the ones I've met have all seemed very nice to me. Which, considering I'm sharing a room with two of them, is probably a good thing.

Oh, who are you rooming with?

Well, the only one I've really spoken to is a girl called Willow. The other I've seen in passing but I haven't gotten to know them yet.
