come one, come all, those who are learning magic

Characters: Aqua, anyone who signed up for magic lessons here, anyone who might have heard about them and dropped by to learn/watch, or anyone who just stumbles upon things! (tl;dr: open)
Setting: Floor 20, whatever day/time is convenient for your character
Format: Starting prose, will gladly match!
Summary: If her life had gone the way it was supposed to, Aqua would have been a teacher for a living. So she's finally owning up to the title of Master, and teaching people how to use the magic she's come to know so well.
Warnings: Language (she's teaching trolls too), potential injury, and maybe things blowing up. Will edit as things occur.

She nudged the small bowl of water aside with her foot, to the right of the line-up of standing wooden targets she'd thrown together on the workshop level. Next to the standing decoys were lumps of cloth, tied into balls with string, to act as projectiles or airborne targets.

The conditions weren't ideal -- nothing like the training fields she had used to learn back home -- but Aqua had done her best to prepare for whatever people wanted to learn. Thunder might be cumbersome, with no way to aid in the creation of electricity just yet, but she had aides for most of the other elements.

So, with Master Keeper in hand, she waited patiently for her students to show up.

Aqua, have a little bugger sneaking up to the door. If there's one thing Ienzo is good at, it's being quiet, and he's usually ninja-ing around somewhere or another. But once he gets there, Ienzo realizes that Aqua is probably going to need to register his presence, so he drops the stealth mode and walks off the staircase normally.

It didn't take long for him to find Aqua in the room; so, pointedly squashing the anxious voice in the back of his head, he approached the woman.

"...Hello," he said, stopping a fair distance from the woman. "Are you waiting for anyone else, or...?"

Because of course he could not immediately believe that he was actually getting what he asked, for once. He'd left the decision up to Aqua for a reason, though; even if 'individual was preferred', there was still the possibility that she had some other plan, or... something.

Screw it, I'm sure we can invest later on in a spellbook of some kind.

He nodded when she mentioned covering of the basics; of course there wouldn't be any actual magic involved on the very first day, besides possibly some absolute essentials to get the... feel of it, or something. Such things, he had long since learned, would come in time, after sufficient work has been put into the attainment of it.

...Er. A weapon?

"Ah-- ...no. I'm sorry." Wow! Great thinking, Ienzo. Obviously magic could be easily learned without something to channel it through! Admittedly, Master Ansem had never really used anything when he used magic, but that probably required many long years of training to get to.

Naminé paused at the top of the stairs down to the 20th floor to steel herself. She said she was going to go to these lessons, and she would, no matter her misgivings. Power had always been a detriment in her life; it had made her a target. More power seemed counterproductive, but... it might also make her less soft of a target. At least she'd be more able to defend herself - and more importantly, everyone else - from both herself and outside forces. She clung to the last thought as she started to make her way down the stairs. It was around the halfway point of the staircase that she realized she should probably have a smile ready, so she pulled one into place and turned her eyes from the stairs to see if she could catch sight of Aqua.

Naminé paused for only an instant upon seeing Aqua, then continued on her way, her smile a bit more genuine thanks to Aqua's. "Hello." She stepped over to the older woman as ordered, letting out a sighed, "Oh!" at the mention that they'd be starting with defensive magic. Naminé was more than fine with that - the less potential for harm, the better. "Good." Her relief is obvious by the way she half-laughs it. She hadn't thought over how healing would be practiced, yet; she was more concentrated on getting to the lesson and learning any kind of magic in the first place.

The girl was quietly grateful for the reassurance. "Okay." Naminé nodded, already thinking it over. Reflect was a good one. It was useful in a variety of situations and unlikely to hurt anyone. The mention of learning more was only slightly intimidating, since it was immediately followed by an assurance that she wouldn't necessarily have to. Naminé thought she was probably being silly about this, but the part that magic had already played in her life had made her cautious. "Whatever you think is best." So much for her own pace. Her fingers lace together in front of her, a bit nervously.

Taiki aproached floor twenty awkwardly, he was still pale from his bout of sickness though he was feeling better. As better as he could be in this Tower anyways. He wore Gyousou's cloak like armour, clinging to it as if wearing it would make Gyousou not dead, make Tai not destroyed.

Taiki looked around for the woman that had said she would teach him magic, he wanted to learn to heal, even though that would mean going near injured people, it wasn't something he had managed to avoid anyways so he would like to be able to help.

He stood awkwardly waiting.

Taiki smiled, "Hello ma'am," he nodded to the teacher. "Erm... I'm Taiki...."

[Molly runs in a bit late, something that isn't that surprising for those who know her, but eager to learn. The only time Molly is eager to learn is when it's about her powers so being given the opportunity to do magic is awesome!!] Sorry I'm late! Can we start now!

I'm Molly! The one who's a mutant! Can you really teach me magic? This is amazing!

With his hands in his pockets and his headphones hanging around his neck, Minato walked over to the meeting point. His evoker and his sword was on him for protection, as well as his SEES armband to differentiate himself from the other Minato.

"Hello." He bowed to her, before straightening up. "And yes, I'm here for your lessons, Aqua-san. My name is Minato Arisato."

The honorific he used would be a hint to who he was, before he introduced himself just then.
wwaterboy: (dissin the establishment)

Sorry for taking so long to get to this! ffff

[Eridan enters the floor, his head held high and his eyes slightly wide with curiosity and apprehension. He doesn't even really know who he's meeting, but there's only one person there, so at least there's that.

He looks around at all of the accoutrements as he walks]

I'm Eridan Ampora. I'm here to begin my instruction in the magical arts.
