Summary: Karkat has been awfully quiet lately, and hasn't quiet been seeking out others. How unusual.

[Karkat has just had too many things on his mind. Staying out of trouble, trying not to make more people furious with him, dodging mealtimes to instead feed Spidermom. The attack on the tower had sated her slightly, but it hadn't helped his psyche any. The visions of Imperial Drones on top of more copies of Spidermom were a little too much for him.

He was still sick to his nutrition sack over the whole thing. If those drones had been real, then he would have been leaving Kanaya to them. What kind of shitty friend was he?

Oh wait. That kind of answered the question. So wherever he happens to be, Karkat will be propped against a wall, staring down at his shoes with an everpresent frown of thought.]

[Echidna looks an awful lot like an embarrassing not-so-cool kid that he had yet to see here in the Tower. But then, he had seen a few Jades come and go, and he imagined that this was one of them.

She looked a little taller than he remembered. The pudding is regarded evenly. He wasn't really hungry, but something compels him to reach out and take it anyway.

There's a beat of silence before he looks up to meet her eyes, a light furrow in his brow. He's not quite used to these gestures of kindness.]

Do I know you?

[Well she was happy that he at least took the pudding! She had no idea what trolls usually ate to be honest, but she was pretty sure chocolate at least wasn't poisonous unless they turned out to be part dog.]

Nope! I guess you might know Jade? But there are lots of different versions of people here it seems. [She was slowly getting used to it. Kind of.]

[He places it on the table and eyes it carefully. He was never one for sweets, but chocolate...

...he could do chocolate. But first, he had to address Jade. Or whoever this was. Karkat stood to regard her.]

I know a couple of them, no thanks to this place.

So I guess you already know me.

Well, I know of a Karkat. He is a character that one of my friends created. But that Karkat does not have a Vriska eye! And neither he nor my friend are usually so sad looking.

[She folded her hands behind her and rocked back and forth on her heels a bit. She may have been older, but Echidna was still pretty short, so it didn't take much for her to lean down and look him in said spider-y eye.]

Go on, have some! And cheer up~!

[...squinting. A character--no, that's stupid, he's not even going to try and make sense of that. The part about Vriska makes him bristle visibly.]

Oh my god, its not a "Vriska eye", its my fucking eye.

[The identity crisis makes him miss most of what Echidna had just said.]

I guess it is different wherever you are from? I did not mean to upset you or anything, but the Karkat I know about does not have vision eightfold!

[A beat.] Are you like the Kanaya that types in grey text then?

[Karkat folds his arms stubbornly, but the mention of Kanaya gets his attention.]

We're from the same session, yeah.

Oh wow! So you are a cerulean blood instead of having red blood like Kanaya has instead!!

[Hey, she's starting to figure out this blood-swapping thing and it is soooo coooool-- oh wait a minute, manners right.]
