Summary: Karkat has been awfully quiet lately, and hasn't quiet been seeking out others. How unusual.

[Karkat has just had too many things on his mind. Staying out of trouble, trying not to make more people furious with him, dodging mealtimes to instead feed Spidermom. The attack on the tower had sated her slightly, but it hadn't helped his psyche any. The visions of Imperial Drones on top of more copies of Spidermom were a little too much for him.

He was still sick to his nutrition sack over the whole thing. If those drones had been real, then he would have been leaving Kanaya to them. What kind of shitty friend was he?

Oh wait. That kind of answered the question. So wherever he happens to be, Karkat will be propped against a wall, staring down at his shoes with an everpresent frown of thought.]

[Karkat turns back around.]

You make it pretty difficult to keep a promise, y'know.

[Hrrrnng. She lowers her gaze and picks at a loose thread on the couch.]

I'm not trying to make it difficult.

[He leans in the doorframe and watches this, shoulders sinking slightly as his arms were folded.

After a few moments of silent observation, he walks back over and places his hands on the back of the couch.]

Honestly? I don't give a shit. I'm just doing what you asked me to do. Or rather, asked me not to do.

[She lets out a frustrated noise.]

I knoooow.

[She reaches up to poke at his chin.]

[He tenses a bit, knowing full well that he wants to would've been noted as toeing the line by any outside observer.

But Karkat's self control is fairly lacking, so he'll lower his head to press his lips to her finger with a coy smirk.

And also brace himself to be hit. That's also happening.]

[She blinks in surprise, then frowns. She doesn't hit him, though.]

[He scoffs, but he doesn't move.]

[She is dead-eyeing him so hard.]

[He scoffs and leans away this time, fixing his collar.]

[She crosses her arms, glaring at him.]

You say you're not flushed for me, but you keep acting like it.

[Karkat shakes his head and sighs guiltily, shrugging with open arms.]

I'm just that kinda guy, Terezi.

[She sighs dramatically and flops backward onto the couch.]

I know! I thought you were going to dial it down!

I did!

[Also flopping over the back of the couch.]

[...Okay, that makes her laugh.]

That's dialing it down?

Hey, I've been pretty good, I think.

[She smirks.]

I guess you are, considering how irresistible I am.

[EYEROLL OF THE CENTURY. How can you get mad at him when you say things like that?]

[HEH.]

I'm just being honest!

[He folds his arms.]

It'd be a breach of contract for me to agree.

[She considers this.]

[SHRUG. Sollux put Ideas in her head okay.]
