Summary: Yosuke's in a half-thinking, half-escapist mood. What better place to do both?
Warnings: None!

[In the middle of this springtime meadow is one high school student, sprawled out on the grass with his headphones on and blasting music. He switches every few minutes between nodding his head to the beat and looking oddly contemplative. But he's aware of his surroundings, and as people pass he'll do one of two things]

[If Yosuke doesn't know you, he'll simply smile and offer a friendly wave]

[If he does, he'll slip the headphones off his hears and give a greeting] Hey!

...How come you have Shadows?

[He's rather curious about it.]

Oh yeah! With the whole 'fighting for our lives' thing we skipped that part last time.

[... but where does he even start? He crosses his arms, trying to figure it out]

Well, the short version is that there's another world connected to ours where shadows live. And we found the gateway. Well, my partner did anyway.

[evokingfool]

[He blinks, taking the information in.] That's different from how the Shadows appear in my world.

[princeofjunes]

Yeah, Minako mentioned that - your school turns into a giant tower, right?

[evokingfool]

That's right. Tartarus. A large nest of Shadows, and our team's currently exploring and investigating it.

[princeofjunes]

So how does that work, anyway? The school turns into a tower and just - no one notices?

[evokingfool]

Tartarus only appears during the Dark Hour, a time between midnight and the next day. Only Persona-users and people with the potential to can walk around in that time.

[princeofjunes]

Wait, hold on! I'd remember if there was a special hour right after midnight, especially after all those times I stayed up to watch the midnight channel.

[evokingfool]

...Maybe your potential wasn't there at the time?

[He never really thought about it.]
