Summary: Yosuke's in a half-thinking, half-escapist mood. What better place to do both?
Warnings: None!

[In the middle of this springtime meadow is one high school student, sprawled out on the grass with his headphones on and blasting music. He switches every few minutes between nodding his head to the beat and looking oddly contemplative. But he's aware of his surroundings, and as people pass he'll do one of two things]

[If Yosuke doesn't know you, he'll simply smile and offer a friendly wave]

[If he does, he'll slip the headphones off his hears and give a greeting] Hey!

[As the moment winds to a close and they begin to separate, she lets out a slight schoolgirl sort of giggle, the sort that doesn't quite mesh with her rough exterior.]

Hell of a place for a first kiss, isn't it?

[princeofjunes]

[What is there to do but laugh? A genuinely happy laugh to boot, as he blushes up a storm]

Never saw it coming. At all.

[guardiandragon]

Heh. Me neither.

[She takes his hand in hers, letting their fingers intertwine.] Guess we know why this was so awkward earlier.

[princeofjunes]

[He looks down at their hands, then up at her]

So are you putting the moves on me? Just double checking before I lean in to kiss you.

[guardiandragon]

See? Was that so hard to ask?

[She pre-empts both his response and his intended action, leaning forward to kiss him first. It wasn't necessarily as long or intense as the last, but it was passionate in its own warm, gentle way.

She never really thought about it before, what kissing was like when you could sense spirits. She didn't have a comparison to make, but she could tell it added something. Being able to sense his, she was also able to feel just how powerful he was. It wasn't the same level as Ichigo, she couldn't imagine that much was, but he was still so far beyond her... yet for all that power, something about his spirit felt comforting, too.]

[princeofjunes]

[Most of the time his mouth gets him into trouble, but every now and then, things go right for Yosuke. Now is one of those times, and as little sense as he may be able to make of it, he's happy to just go along with the ride]

[He hasn't had a ton to smile about in Animus. Moments of happiness like these? He'll cling to them for all he's worth]

[guardiandragon]

[When the kiss came to a close, she pulled back, looking Yosuke in the eye.]

What dorm do you stay in?

[princeofjunes]

[He's momentarily stunned]

[Then, as if he can't say it fast enough-]

2-14.

[guardiandragon]

Is it alright if I stay with you tonight? I mean, not anything like that, just... us. Together. I'm not sure how to explain it, but... I just feel safer around you, somehow.

[princeofjunes]

[He's still taken back, but he nods fast enough]

Sure! I-I mean, I don't mind. It... it might be nice, falling asleep next to someone. As long as you don't mind a tight squeeze. The beds aren't exactly huge.

[guardiandragon]

I've slept in them too, I know they aren't. I think I might even prefer it that way.

[princeofjunes]

Then... yeah. I'll see you there tonight.

[guardiandragon]

Hey, don't say it like that. [She leans over onto his shoulder.] Makes it sound like you'll be getting rid of me before then.

[princeofjunes]

[He wraps an arm around her and holds her against his shoulder, smiling and taking a deep breath]

Good. I want you to stay.
