Summary: Sora's done a lot of thinking since his talk with Riku. He's still trying to sort a lot of things out, but right now? He's just distracting himself.
Warnings: None so far! Will change if things change!

[Sora had been unsure of what to think since the revelation that his so-called adoptive father had stolen his name. Given Riku's appearance that one time, and how he doubts Ansem is even a popular name, he has no choice but to believe him. The logic adds up. Ugh... Too much thinking, his head is hurting. He can dwell on the whys later. Right now he just... Needs to relax.

Which is why Sora is currently sprawled out among the flowers, eyes closed. He's trying not to think, trying to push it all from his mind for now. Ugh... This sucks...]

...Why is it nervous?

[It's not like he's a threat or something.]

Well, Unversed are made from Negativity, kind of like how Heartless are made from Darkness. So it's just always nervous about everything around it I guess.

[Hm, he'd never actually taken the time to seriously think about this. It was....weird. To say the least.]

...Whatever. As long as it's not staring at me anymore.

[And this was a distraction from everything else! Sorry, Ven, he's not going to tell you about his problems easily.]

Uh, so.... I mean, everything alright? Last time I saw you we were running away from a bunch of monsters on a staircase.

...Are you really sure you want to hear about it?

[Argh. Why can't you just not worry about him, Ven?]

[Deeeerp grin. Sorry, that's what you get for acknowledging a friendship freak.]

I found out my so-called dad was lying about a lot of things, so now I have to wonder what else he lied about. Oh, and he's apparently some identity-stealing mastermind whose real name is Xehanort.

X-Xehanort?!

[Ven heard the rest, but he hardly processed it. The only thing that stood out to him was that name. That name he thought he was done with.

He was in such a near-state of panic that he half-jumped and half-stumbled to his feet.]

His name was Xehanort?! Are you sure?!

Th-that's what Aqua thinks! I-I just know him by Ansem...!

[Here, Ven. Pulling that old scribble out now and offering it to you.]

This is what he looks like.

[Ven carefully took the doodle. It...didn't, really look like him. Not at first at least. The hair and skin were the right color, and so were the eyes, but that was all. Maybe, somehow a younger version? Was that possible?

Either way, with the name and the picture it's real. And it's hitting way too close to home. He hesitantly handed the doodle back, trying to think of something to say.]

....O-Oh. I...I see.

[Yeah he didn't think of much to say.]

[...Have some staring, Ven. You're acting very, very strange.]

...You know him, I'm guessing?

...Uh...Yeah, he's....

[Oh hey, remember how Ven said the Unversed was made of Negativity and Anxiety?Apparently the little monster sensed how much Ven's internally freaking out, and it slid through the ground and popped back up right in Sora's face. Surprise!]

[SCRAMBLING BACK NOW.]

Wh-What the--!?

[...Oh. It's the Flood. And it's staring at him. He is very tempted to introduce it to his Keyblade.]

[Ven only noticed the Flood returning when Sora spazzed. Which led him to look up with a bit of muted surprise.]

--Oh! Sorry...!

[Bad Unversed. He reached forward to pluck the blue creature off the ground and away from Sora.] I uh...I'm kind of new at this.

It's okay. It just surprised me.

[Why did it pop up all of a sudden, wasn't it all the way over there.]

[He did manage to muster up an sheepish chuckle, as he gave the Unversed a few pats on the head. Meanwhile the little blue beast was staring at Sora. Again.

And hey, it provided a nifty distraction!]

I'll uh, try and make sure it stays away from you, if it helps.

...It's staring at me again. Why is it staring?

[Staring right back, little guy.]

Uh. [Hang on he has to take a minute to watch your staring contest.]

I think it just stares at everything.

[He set the Unversed on the ground and shooed it off again. Go on little blue thing, back to the flowers! Again. Geez.]

[Well, now he's not staring back at it.]

...So it's kinda like my Shadow...

[And, oh, by the way? Don't think he forgot that reaction, Ventus.]

...So you know Xehanort?

Yeah, I gue--

[Oh goddamnit.]

Uh. Yeah. [And now he looks a bit more crestfallen. Darn, did they have to talk about this?!]

He was my um.... my Master. He raised me and taught me how to use the Keyblade.

[Avoiding eye-contact like whoah right now.]

[...Oh. Oh. So maybe they...]

...We're really... Not too different, are we...?

[...Wow, Ven. Suddenly, all that dislike withered.]

....

[Ven stayed quiet for a moment, but eventually let out a sheepish laugh a smile.]

Yeah, I guess not, huh?

[As, awkward as he felt to admit it. He didn't fancy being too friendly with Heartless, but then he WAS trying to make nice with Unversed, wasn't he?]

[He's quiet a few moments. And then, he'll smile, just a tiny bit.]

...You know? suddenly, I... Don't feel as alone as I did before.

[Whoah. Desirable outcome it may have been, he didn't expect to get there!] Really?

[A moment later though, he smiled back.]

Heh, good. You were never alone in the first place after all!

...I guess not.

[Which is a strange concept, since he's always felt so alone.]
