[Her nails scrape lightly against the door to Signless' room as she knocks. She's decided it's time they did something together! Something that can help them forget for a moment that this tower is as awful a place as it is. She smiles, leaning back and waiting for someone to answer the door, and she hopes he's in his respiteblock. If not, she'll just have to go exploring for him. Either way, she's determined to steal him away for the day. She also hopes it'll put to rest how much she's missed him.]

[She lets herself in at his invitation. Slipping her arms around him in what she'd meant to be a brief hug, she lingers a bit, cherishing the warmth she'd missed. And then she wanders over to his bed, leaning down to pick up the book.]

No, not in the least! It's just, I had a thought. It's been a while since we've had any time alone together, hasn't it?

[She runs her fingers over the cover of the book, looking up at him and smiling.]

You aren't too busy today, are you?

[benigncancer]

[He hugs her back, more than happy to do so, and presses a kiss to her cheek as she draws away. Then he watches her look at his book. It's a human novel, not a pure romance, but a fairly trashy book nonetheless. He's done some heavier reading, but for pleasure he likes to simply turn his mind off and enjoy a good story]

It's been too long. And even if all I had to do today wasn't reading a trashy novel, I wouldn't be too busy for you.

[scriptures]

[She brightens, setting the book down and crossing the room back over to him. She reaches up to touch his cheek, smiling and leaning forward to give him a chaste kiss.]

You know just what I like to hear, Signless. Honestly, I would be a little insulted if you chose a book over me anyway. Where should we go?

[He returns the kiss, grinning a little foolishly. She still made his blood pusher go a little weird when she looked at him like that]

I don't know... there's only so many places to go here. Have you been to that new restaurant level?

[scriptures]

No, I hadn't gone there yet. Have you? We could go there, or exploring? I don't really mind as long as I'm with you.

[benigncancer]

No, I haven't. I hear rumours that when going on dates, dinner and a movie is a staple, though.

[scriptures]

Human dates? Well then, I suppose we should be culturally sensitive and give it a try. It sounds like fun!

[benigncancer]

Well, it could be the same for troll dates. Anyway, human or not, I think it'll be fun. [He slips his hand into hers and squeezes] Let's go, then.

[scriptures]

[She gives a little squeeze back, face lighting up as she smiles at him.]

Alright! Lead the way.

[benigncancer]

[And he does, leading her hand-in-hand to the floor where the restaurant is. He leaves Disciple and speaks to the host for a moment, then returns with a frown on his face]

They say if we want to eat, we need to bring them two clownfish from the aquarium floor.

[scriptures]

Oh! That seems silly, but alright. It looks like we'll have an adventure during our date.

[benigncancer]

[He chuckles] That's what I thought. [He takes her hand and bows a bit] Shall we go fishing, my lady?

[scriptures]

[She grins, curtsying though it looks a little ridiculous with a short skirt.]

After you, my lord. [Her smile turns devious.] I bet I'll be able to catch them before you.

[benigncancer]

Uh uh! [he knows she'll be able to, but it's more fun if it's a challenge] I bet you can't.

[scriptures]

[She tugs on his hand to head back down to the aquarium floor.]

We'll have to see about that, then!

[benigncancer]

[Okay, so they head down to the aquarium floor and he looks around with trepidation]

How the nooksniffing fuck are we going to catch some fish with our bare hands?

[scriptures]

[She giggles, shaking her head as she releases his hand to get closer to the water.]

I suppose you'll have to watch and learn. [She perches on the edge, eyes following the path of a fish for a few minutes before her hand darts out to grab it. Sadly, it's one of the talents she's picked up from living in the wilderness for an extended amount of time.

Only problem is, she totally grabbed the wrong kind of fish. But she holds it out to him victoriously anyway.]

[benigncancer]

[Wow, his matesprit has skillz. He nods, impressed]

At this rate, we might as well catch our dinner and eat it, too. But I don't think that's the right kind of fish... The picture he showed me was more orange and white.

[He perks up and points] Like that one!

[scriptures]

[In her enthusiasm to catch the one he points out, she ends up... in the water herself. There's a yelp as she skitters back out of it, looking all for the world like a drowned cat. She didn't manage to catch the fish either, pretty much only succeeding in scaring the ones near the side off entirely.]

[benigncancer]

[Ack! He reaches to help her out, nervous of the water, but she manages to get out of the water easily without his help.

Soft growl.] This is stupid. There's got to be a better way.

[scriptures]

[She pulls her hair over her shoulder to twist the water out.]

Do you have any ideas? I think I could do it given time, but it may take a while for them to come back to the edge. Unless you were interested in going for a swim today.

[benigncancer]

[He thought for a few moments] I could bribe a sea dweller to get it for me.

[scriptures]

I suppose that might work. Who did you have in mind, Signless?

[benigncancer]

Uh... I don't know. [He laughs awkwardly] I don't think any of the nice ones are still here. I was just kidding.

[scriptures]

[She frowns. She thought maybe he was talking about one of the young trolls, since all the ones she's met so far have been nice.]

Oh. I wonder if there are any spears around. If not, we'll just have to jump in there and catch them ourselves.

[benigncancer]

[He was talking about Feferi, whom he hasn't seen in ages. He thinks for a minute, then looks at her.]

What if you jumped in and I held on to you?

[scriptures]

That might work. We might as well give it a try?

[She eyes the water a little warily. She's not the biggest fan of water, if they were being honest here. But she's got a good chance of being able to catch them, she wagers.]

[benigncancer]

[He's just as wary, but he points out a place where a little school of the fish has settled in and is nibbling on some coral]

Maybe there...?
