Format: Prose to start, but either is accepted.
Summary: Puzzle murders here, puzzle murders there. Nobody is escaping without at least getting maimed. Threads will start being added for each puzzle after the 22nd.

Dormitory 4-19 - 23rd Noon - Eridan Ampora (OU)

Eridan was in no way difficult to sneak up on and knock unconscious, though transporting him to the desired dorm room without anyone noticing had been a bit more difficult. But in the end she managed and had set up the elaborate plan.

First he was seated in his 'throne', legs and waist belted into the chair so that he could lean forward, but couldn't get up and try to leave. In front of him a very elaborate board game was set up. The board itself was decorated with many, many 'paths', treasure at the end of some, while others crossed the board without ending anywhere sooner. The paths leading to treasure were purple, while the other ones were green. Every purple path had a series of shallow holes along their route.

Directly in front of him, at the 'start' of the board, sat ten wooden playing pieces, nine of these resembling pawns from chess. The tenth was dyed purple, a small crown sitting on its head.

All that was left was for the poor troll to wake up.

[Eridan soon comes to, groggy as usual... though the feel of cold metal on places other than his neck made him awake quicker than usual. Of course, he's going to try and squirm and leave. Because holy hell this is frightening.]

Wh-where the fuck am I?

[[Rose approaches him from behind, standing at his side with a wave and a smile.]]

One of the many dormitory rooms. No need to worry, you haven't left the tower! How are you feeling?

[[It won't do any good to explain the game if he's groggy.]]

Oh, just great, thanks. I'm chained to some throne thing an' I have no clue why I'm here.

Other than you potentially havin' a black interest in me, I mean bein' tied up like this is certainly very forward... I can see why I'm a very charmin' rival if you ask me.

[You are taking this completely the wrong way, Eridan.]

[[You really are, and while this version of Rose may seem fit for the quadrant, you'll be sorely surprised if you pursue it after she's returned to normal.]]

So you aren't groggy? You feel as though you could process a set of rules, perhaps?

[[She's not going to touch the black subject. Quadrants? Haha what are those?]]

I guess I mean the feel a' metal on skin is enough to wake anyone up.

Wait, rules? What, you expect me to play a game like this?

I just want to make sure! It would be awful if you lost just because you were too tired to understand the rules. And of course I do. It's part of the game.

[[She smiles, gesturing to the board in front of him.]]

This is a very easy board game. Your goal is to use all of your friends to collect treasure. If you collect all the treasure, you'll win! But, there's a catch.

[[This is when she points to one of the holes.]]

To manage that, you will have to sacrifice your companions so that a bridge in the path can be made.

[wweh]

[Eridan shrugs his shoulders, well as much as he can.]

Doesn't seem too difficult.

An if I win, I can get out a' here?

If you win my game, you can get out of here. [[But the board game isn't really her game, so...]]

Just remember. Every sacrifice has a consequence.

[Eridan brushes that off. Because he obviously knows this because he's played this a hundred times. Except not, but there's this thing called face and he won't lose it.]

Yeah yeah there's always a catch, lets get on with it I'm startin' to chafe here.

[[Oh Eridan. You poor fool.]]

Well then, choose your first move. [[The "king" piece is behind the line of "pawns". One of them will have to move before the king can.]]

[Eridan, without hesitation, moves the pawn directly in front of the King. Can't get the treasures if he isn't out and about, anyhow.]

[[Rose watches, leaning against a wall with a curious expression on her face.]]

Waste no time, do you?

[wweh]

[Eridan nods, thinking about which treasure to go for first, plotting his path. He can certainly be methodical when he wants to be, so he starts moving the pawns toward the holes, going for the closest paths first.]

A' course, I've had treasure snatched up on me before.

[[She just smiles as she watches, hand on her book and plenty ready for the inevitable.]]

But you aren't against anyone else in this game. Do you really need to go about this game with such enthusiasm for killing your subjects?

[Eridan thinks a bit for this question. However, he doesn't hesitate to put the first subject in his hole.]

Gettin' treasure as quickly as possible is a must to be a good FLARPer. Even if I'm not facin' against anyone no one takes anyone seriously who takes their time with things. Besides, they're obviously lower on the pole than I am.
