[The Arcana Is The Mean By Which All Is Revealed] || [Semi-Open]
Characters: A lot of characters, check the tags!
Setting: Various floors for gathering the seeds; the battles will happen on the Roof of Towerception (Floor 75).
Format: Prose or action, whichever you prefer!
Summary: That's the log for everything related to the Nyx Avatar player plot! The OOC post is here if you want more information about it! You can also use it if you want to plot about how the battles will go. The log is going to be divided into five main threads: a first thread for Ganondorf to gather the "seeds" who will be used to make Ryoji go into his Nyx Avatar mode. Essentially, he's just going to trap them into nifty, colored crystals while they're distracted. The second thread will be about Ryoji reaching the roof of towerception and subsequently being kept there alongside the four seeds till the heroes arrive.
The third thread will be about the 'heroes' arriving to Towerception-- If they took part in the Sephiroth battle, they will have received a seemingly friendly letter asking them to come, otherwise either they will just happen to pass by the tower and feel a strange presence / hear weird noises. Finally, the fourth thread will be about the battle against the seeds with a sub-thread per seed, and the final thread about the battle against Ryoji. As a reminder, the four "seeds of grief" are: Diarmuid, Lancer, Patrick Dawn and Yukiko Amagi.
Because of how the log is divided, you can start the battles without having to wait for the three "lead-in" threads to be completed.
Warning: Evil gloating. Unending lectures about the tarot arcana. Lots of sad all around. Of course, anyone participating in the battle against either the seeds or Nyx takes the non-negligible risk of being killed or grievously wounded.

[Nyx's Awakening || Towerception]
At this point the four seeds of grief are still be kept within crystals, floating above the roof of towerception. High enough so that no one can reach them, but low enough so that anyone looking at them can easilly see who the people in the crystals are: Diarmuid, Lancer, Patrick Dawn and Yukiko Amagi. In the middle of the four crystals another person is floating; Ryoji. It appears as though some sort of dark energy is flowing from the crystals to Ryoji, slowly awakening the Nyx within him and starting the transformation process.
And of course, on the roof below the floating crystals and Ryoji, there are three notable villains of the tower awaiting for the heroes: Sephiroth, Ganondorf and Nesir. ]

[Whatever he'd been expecting, this was the furthest thing from it. It took a moment for him to wipe the genuine shock off his face, and a moment longer to process whatever was going on as it turned to anger very quickly.]
What the fuck do you lunatics think you're doing?!
[Naturally, he didn't understand what was going on. No amount of logic could follow the circumstances through to whatever conclusion the three of them were heading for. But he could comprehend what mattered: several people he gave a damn about were in clear danger caused by Sephiroth and his league of sociopathy. That was enough for Waver to understand this was going to turn messy.]

[Asagi is not pleased. In fact, judging by the way the black is creeping into her eyes, she's more than just a little angry. She doesn't mind fighting. Doesn't mind hurting people. It's hardly ever personal.
But this?
It's becoming clear that this is very personal, considering one of the people involved and the people floating in those crystals. And that? That makes Asagi very, very angry. There's no room for this kind of pettiness when there are more important things to worry about. Still, she takes a moment to calm down. Takes a breath and closes her eyes, and when she opens them again they're back to normal- but her voice is ice cold when she speaks again.]
Professor. Who are these other assholes anyway?

[Short, sweet, and straight to the point. Volumen Hydragyrum seemed to bristle in response, the maid's shoulders stiffening as if bracing herself.]
/might as well go first since you're all so HAPPY to see him
But this. This was something.
Silvered head, with a pleased grin twisted across it turns from admiring the show of shadow-like tendrils winding their way from the crystals and slowly picking apart the small boy in the middle, to rest on first a familiar -though rather more shiny than usual- head of dark hair. Then another voice nearby pulls the grin almost all the way down into a scowl as then he turns to face both Waver and Asagi.]
So glad you could make it. Welcome to the show.
[The grin isn't on his face anymore, but it's gleaming happily in his eyes still.]

[He snapped, if only for a moment. Waver's hands curled into fists at his sides, quickly reining in the sudden uncharacteristic outburst of legitimate rage. The pause was punctuated by forced, shaking breaths as he consciously tried to keep his composure.]
You want another saltwater bath, you could've asked. I'll even upgrade you to mercury-coated lungs if you like.

[His gut feeling had proven right. Barely anyone sent him letters now, and something that friendly sounding at that hour didn't sit right. Or maybe the tower had made him paranoid. Regardless, he had come with his sword ans gun, stepping into the level with his face perfectly blank.]
Stay calm. They want us angry.
[He wasn't about give these villains some sort of twisted jollies, and was instead concentrated on what they could do.]

[ He nodded at Nesir and turned to look at the people who had just arrived. Ganondorf looked fairly calm as well, but it would be a lie to say he wasn't innerly very satisfied at the displays of anger and hatred. Exactly as planned. ]
Now that the process has begun, I am afraid nobody can stop what is about to unfold.

He moved closer to Waver, half to stop him from doing anything stupid, though the need to act, to free those from the crystals was hard to fight. Half to protect him from what was about to happen, whatever that would be.] So you brought us here just to gloat?

[He answers specifically to Waver, ignoring the threat completely. It's not relevant and besides, this is about uncovering truths more than it's about anything else. All that potential that Ganondorf had first seen in Ryoji, was about to be ripped out and shown to all of his friends. That monster that Sephiroth had only just grazed the surface off before.
Sephiroth doesn't turn his gaze towards Nesir or Ganondorf as they make their comments - he doesn't need their moral support, he's firmly stood up straight off his own recovered ego. Despite what this might look like to the unenlightened. The negative emotions hang like a thick cloud in the air and it empowers him further.]
This is quite the turn out. [Eyes lower and skim around Suzaku, Asagi and then return to Waver. Flashing a smirk, knowing full well how it aggravates the man, but then returning his expression smoothly to an equally collected serenity.] But I will answer your question.
It's been quite the saga within a saga, but now comes that time in our story when the cards are all lain on the table. You see. Whatever your thick-headed Servant thought to change in me, has only been completely reflected in himself. And indeed across these other three as well, all of which have thought to interfere at one point or another. At the center of this all, in the one you all fought to avenge - needs no vengeance that he couldn't have just taken for himself if you had but opened his eyes. Such cowardice. Such learned helplessness indeed.
And I'll pass on the saltwater bath, or any other equally pathetic means you might conjure up to try and subvert or otherwise irritate any future undertaking which I have felt worthwhile enough to input my efforts into.
[Then he does glance to Ganondorf, before taking a step back and turning away slightly so that the troll king might say his piece. He is after all, the ringleader of this demonstration.
There is little point getting drawn into a fight here, when they would be fighting each other soon. Besides, Sephiroth never gets into a fight he doesn't think he can win.]

[Asagi's voice pipes up, tone mild and disinterested.]
That's great. Really. A for effort with being a pain in everyone's ass. God, could you be more petty and childish? What's the matter, mom didn't give you enough attention as a tiny sociopath?
[It's a familiar condition, considering one of her Sisters. But that's not something that really matters, at the moment, and her gaze flickers briefly toward the crystal-encased people.]
Either way- first we handle them, then we handle you. Cloneblade's been wanting another slice out of you anyway.

This was just like his Shadow laying out his life story last year--
Hey, I heard that!
...Yeah, definitely his shadow.
Just let them gloat. Bla bla bla perfect plan, bla bla you have no chance, make your time bla bla bla. Everyone's just gonna do a piss contest back and forth. It's more fun when you show them wrong, right me?
Gods, just let them hurry up so they can get on with it.]

No matter what happens today, no matter how this ends next summer, as long as I have so much as a breath to speak on the matter, you'll never see Midgar again.

You will do no such thing. This-- [He gestured toward Ryoji and the crystals.] Is only a fraction of our true power, of course. A message, a warning to your intention.
I can not-- And will not tolerate things such as what happened a couple months ago. And since your kind does not understand simple words, I have designed this little game to entertain you. From now on, if you harm one of my allies, I will kill ten of yours. If you kill one of my ally, I will make certain those close to you will regret being even born.
[ Ganondorf paused-- He hadn't smiled the entire time and was speaking on a very calm, neutral tone. He was obviously very confident. ]
Now that my power has been restored, there is no safe haven for you. I am counting on your intelligence.

If you hurt my allies I will kill you and your friends! No safe heaven for you!! I should bring out my video game bad guy bingo card, I'm pretty sure he'd hit them all on the dot!
....
Aww come on, me, this guy's hilarious! I know you're secretly thinking about it too. My speech was waaaay better than this.
[Sometimes he almost regretted having his own full powers back, especially when those other voices inside of him were much louder than before, although thankfully silent to everyone else. He flinched slightly, but barely moved after Ganondorf's speech. It served as a testament to his quiet strength how threats were completely ignored at this point, as much as his shadow liked to make fun of them.]

Comments about Midgar in an attempt to goad him? Please.
Sephiroth wonders where in the whole-Tower he's heard anything about all of that. Though, he certainly has his suspicions; not that it matters at all. Gaia is dead and Sephiroth doesn't even want it restored so that he can go back and repeat history. Not when the Tower provides a more readily available platform to his Destiny.
He blinks and removes his gaze from Waver, regarding the -human, he reminds himself- magus with his mercury doll more totally. For once, perhaps, Waver might actually prove more than a match and Sephiroth isn't taking the bait.]
Oh? And what do you suppose I would want with Midgar?
[Pause.]
You don't even have the faintest clue, not that it matters. We should get on with the pressing matters at hand.
[Ignorance is so very boring.]
