[once again the Neophyte found herself wandering the Tower. exploring new floors, exploring old ones, catching a bite to eat in the cafeteria...she might even spend a little time in her own dorm room at some point. who knows what she'll get up to or who she'll run into.]

Floor 4

[tempustemporum]

[They've passed each other several times in the hallways; Redglare on her wandering 1NV3ST1G4T1ON, and Ienzo on his now-routine checks of the floors. At the end of it, he finally slips down to floor four, and finds her still poking around there.]

...hello.

[It's more an act of politeness than anything, since she happened to be near the door as he entered.]

[poking around is a good word for it; she's not nearly relaxed enough to lounge around on the furniture in here. probably she's staring out the window.]

Hello. [a remembering pause.] Ienzo.

...have you found anything of note? [Because of course her traveling all over the place would mean that someone was having a little exploration. A brave assumption -- for him, anyway.]

[On the nineteenth floor, she'll find a human (well, not quite, but definitely closer to human than troll) woman situated at one of the tables, a book open in front of her and several more stacked nearby. It would seem someone else is doing their own sort of investigation, though not in the same way as Redglare.

She is rather absorbed in her work, however, and doesn't quite notice when the Neophyte passes by.]

[Signless is on the floor in a corner of the library, wrapped in his cloak with the hood down, contentedly reading a book.]

[Redglare would probably pass by without comment, except...

...well, she sees the woman's ears. and while she's not terribly knowledgeable about species other than trolls, she has met someone with that distinct biological feature before...and she hadn't been aware there was more than one of them in the Tower.]

floor 12

[orphans]

[well. this was... unexpected. not entirely unheard of, as this seemed to be one of the more popular floors to traverse, but still. coincidental, perhaps, that just after he'd learned more of this particular troll from his ex, that they should meet.

he'd have his arms folded behind his back, if he'd had more than one of them. thus, his only rests lamely at his side-- otherwise, posture perfect. he scans her from head-to-toe once.]

[the horns are what catch her attention, and her reason for approaching. she's exercising due caution, of course--the last time she approached an adult troll in the library it turned out to be Orphaner Dualscar of all people--but she isn't being overtly threatening.]

I see you've found something interesting.

[not exactly the best conversation starter, but it's not like it's her job to make conversation okay!!]

[He looks up from his book and smiles at her in obvious welcome, not in the least bit threatened]

Hello. [He waves his book a bit] It's just a novel, actually. Are you Redglare?

[legislacerates]

[she side-eyes him rather than turning to face him full-on. her hands rest on the cane in front of her, and otherwise her posture is equally impressive.]

Good evening, Orphaner.

[legislacerates]

[well, that's....slightly unexpected. not that she shows it.]

I am. [a beat.] And you are?

[legislacerates]

That depends on your definition of "note".

[And that's a bit of a surprising response]

You can call me Signless. [He chuckles] Your descendent mentioned you to me, months ago. The resemblance is pretty obvious.

[legislacerates]

[she should have recognized him, she realizes, but it's been so long...

...oh, fuck. now is not the time for blushing and she won't do it. she is so totally over her flushcrush on him.

(no she isn't.)

well, at least she manages not to blush or look completely stupid, but it's somewhat obvious from her body language that she's surprised.]

She does seem to have inherited many things from me.

floor 13

[grandhighblood]

[he's sitting cross-legged in between the two rows of pews, just sitting, not quite sure why he's returned to this spot. his gaze is fixed on the bench up near the front where just days earlier the Summoner had been perched upon.

the murmuring of the voice up front drones on, lulling him into a sort of rare calm state. it reminds him of his early days in the cult where there had been readings and chants in preaching the words of the Messiahs.]

Cafeteria

[Vriska's picked one of the busiest times to hit the cafeteria and she really couldn't care less - she acts as she pleases and if that means swooping to claim a free seat before looking to see if there's anyone else at the table, so be it.

Of course, it's only after she's sat down that she realises she's sharing with an adult who is, technically, a rank up from her own. This would be enough to send most skittering away but Vriska continues to get settled, shooting a challenging glance at the other troll as though challenging her to stop her]

...anything that seems unusual. you must have been here for a while now...

[this isn't redglare's favorite floor, but she happens to be passing through while the GHB is there and...well, she can't not go over and see what he's up to.

she approaches without any particular sense of stealth and stops right behind him, seeing as there's not a whole lot of room to stand next to him.

she doesn't think it would be wise to say something if he's intent on the voice at the front, considering his position, but she also feels sure that he'll notice her presence regardless.]

[when redglare met the other vriska, she was wearing her god swag and redglare assumed she was from one of the many alternate universes in which trolls seem to exist.

this vriska, however, is definitely wearing mindfang's symbol, and it is definitely the right color. redglare can only assume that she is the one her descendant told her about.

which of course means that redglare also assumes vriska's behavior is a result of vriska's blood being the higher hue, which is why her lips purse--the only sign of her irritation--as she takes a moment to wipe her mouth.]

Good afternoon.

[this troll looks older than terezi does, but then again time discrepancies are also common in the tower. redglare will simply fall back on her usual strategy of being stiffly polite.]

There have been many unusual things to be found of late.

[Zelda glances up from her reading and, well, her slightly surprised expression shows that she definitely has not met a troll before.

But Hyrule is a rather diverse place, and the other woman doesn't seem antagonistic, so there's no reason not to be polite.]

Ah, yes?

Not to be rude, but I couldn't help but notice. You are Hylian, yes?

[A nod.]

I am. I take it you have met another here?

[legislacerates]

Yes. It doesn't seem that there are very many of your kind here in the Tower.

[Vriska can't help but smirk a little. She's more than used to such stiff formality, usually from those who only tolerated her for Tavros' sake]

No-one sitting here, is there?

[As though she's prepared to move if asked]
