❝So hand me that remote❞
Characters: Willow (
guiltapalooza) and you! OPEN.
Setting: The media level.
Format: Action tags preferably, but I can prose if you wish!
Summary: Willow has way more free time than she's used to, especially without school to be a perfectionist over. She finds herself watching a lot of movies. Feel free to make multi-character threads and join existing ones, by the way!
Warnings: None.
[At the moment Willow is watching Zombieland, a movie right up her alley but from several years past her time, so she'd never had a chance to see it before. She's sitting on a couch across from the TV, hand in a bowl of chips and giggling periodically.
On the screen, there's a college-aged boy with poofy, curly hair running hurriedly away from a zombie co-ed with a broken ankle.] You just can't trust anyone, [says the narration.] The first girl I let into my life and she tries to eat me.
[Goddess, does that remind her of Xander. For once it's a happy reminder, though, and she practically chokes on some chips laughing at it. Him and that preying mantis teacher...
Follow the sounds of giggling and come interrupt her?]

[Stated matter-of-factly, and with the slightest bit of disappointment.]
Though I do have some spare fabric in my trunk, if you would like... I can try?
[The offer is hesitant, if only because Chidori knows her style is not only quite unusual, but because she's not used to offering such things at all. If it were any of the boys, she'd just make them something and get it over with. This is different though- but then again, everything in the tower is different than what she's used to.
If she doesn't change a bit as well, she may very well not survive.]

--Oh, that would be great! [Her huge smile tempers slightly, and turns reluctant.] But I don't want to be a bother. Isn't sewing really time-consuming? You must have a lot of other stuff to do.

[She blinks, not understanding for a moment, and then raises an eyebrow in something like amusement. Oh Willow. U cute.]
Just what is there to spend my time on here? I would prefer to spend it doing something enjoyable than simply whiling away the hours.
no subject
Oh, well... [A little flustered, but mostly sheepish to be caught out at being socially awkward.] I just don't want to presume, you know? I've been looking for things to do, too, but maybe you're like-- surrounded by people from home who just kick up the drama right and left, and you have your hands full corralling them, like herding cats. It could happen!
[Oops. Hope you wanted some babble.]

It is perfectly understandable- those with others from their worlds do tend to have a lot to handle. However, the only person here from my world is more than capable of taking care of himself... and isn't likely to ask for help even if he could not. I assure you, I have more than enough free time for an extra project or two.
[She doesn't mind much, you'll find.]

Oh, um, okay then! [She regains her smile, trying not to be shy.] I'm glad you don't have to worry about your friend that's here. I can't deny I'd love to have some dresses, especially since, well... Valentine's Day is coming up and I might have a guaranteed date.
[Thinking about having a boyfriend now is still blush-worthy, and she's fidgeting in place, unable to contain how pleased she is about it.]
no subject
Valentine's? Really? [There's a note of surprise in her voice that doesn't have as much to do with the holiday and more with the fact that someone in the tower is making plans for it.] You are fortunate then.
[And Chidori may or may not be the slightest bit envious of the fact.]
Did you want something specific for the occasion then?
no subject
I want to do something fun while I can, that's all. We haven't been dating long, so I don't want to miss it; I feel fortunate.
--Something specific? Oh! No, that's okay! [She smiles again, a bit self-consciously.] I'm sure whatever you made would be great. I was just getting excited, thinking about it.
/latest tags ever
I am certain I can manage something. [In other words, you're getting a date dress one way or the other Willow. Sorry.] It should not take me long, provided you take no issue with having your measurements taken as soon as possible.
no, i've definitely had later tags xD
Whenever works for you is fine. I'll trust your taste. It's really nice of you to do something like this-- we just met and everything.
oh... okay, good
It is no trouble- I am grateful for something to do, honestly.
[She pauses, and then adds-]
In a place like this, how long you know someone is hardly a basis for how to treat them.

Sometimes I feel like I'm Alice down the rabbit hole, especially with the nonsensical answers whenever I ask questions.
no subject
'How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice. 'You must be,' said the Cat, 'or you wouldn't have come here.'
[She made a soft, noncommittal noise and let her mouth curve up into a ghost of a smile.]
Would you have preferred the looking glass to the rabbit hole, then?
no subject
So you're a Lewis Carroll fan? I probably should've guessed.
no subject
[She shrugs, amusement becoming a little more obvious.]
A bit, yes.
