04. upon thyself thy beauty's legacy
Characters: England and all of the cultured people. Open!
Setting: Floor 25.
Format: Starting action, but will match!
Summary: England is having a teatime picnic. It's long overdue. Threadjacking is okay and welcomed! Join an existing thread and make it a tea party or make a new thread.
Warnings: Probably language since it's England. Also possibly threadjacking, so just say in the subject if you don't want that!
[So there is no fancy garden table and chairs or quaint little sitting room, but the innocuous spring floor is almost as nice. He's laid out a length of cloth snatched from the workshop floor to act as a makeshift blanket, and has a teaset out, with a full pot of tea, multiple cups, and sugar. No milk or honey, due to the restrictions of the Tower's kitchen, but he can deal.
And he's actually smiling a little. Do you dare risk disrupting him in this almost fugue-like state?
Of course you do, he's just a silly grump with pretty plates and big eyebrows. Come join him for tea.]

Yeah, that's it exactly. It's pretty tasty.
[In the sunlight the tea looks kinda red brown, so maybe... She's pretty careful about reaching for stuff, the sunhat only does so much.]
no subject
So you're able to consume the colour red from things?
[That's what he was getting from this, anyways. He doesn't sound disbelieving, just genuinely curious. He's also quick to offer her the teacup so she doesn't have to reach as far, because he is a gentleman.]
no subject
Yep. It opens up a lot of food choices, otherwise I'd be stuck to one thing.
[She's careful to just let the tea touch her fangs- no sense in going further if she can't have it. Just enough to work though, so that's excellent.]
no subject
That's brilliant. [He chuckles.] I'd ask how you do it, but for some reason I doubt there would be much point in trying to explain what is only a basic biological process to you.
[He wonders to himself if that means things turn gray when she drains the red from them. He'll have to discreetly check the tea afterwards.]
no subject
It works, at least. As long as it gets me fed without much trouble it's no big deal whether I know how it works or not. [She grins.] This is pretty good, man.
[It's graying, and Marceline looks at the tea in interest. This isn't something that happens too often, more of another color muddling into the fading red.]
Suddenly, Fawkes!
[Isn't one of those two one of his roommates? He plods over closer to see, making not inclinations toward being quiet or stealthy in the least.]
this is now officially the best teaparty
[Though, England's smile fades a little at the sound of someone approaching, and he turns quickly, very alert -- he's always had battle-ready reflexes, but the Tower has definitely made it worse. He calms when he sees the familiar large figure; he can't place the name at this very moment, but the man is one of his roommates. And definitely not the other very large one that's frankly much scarier.
England nods towards him in acknowledgement.] Good day. [He glances between Fawkes and the teaset briefly before offering:] Would you like to join us, as well? [And then, with a glance towards Marceline:] If you don't mind terribly, of course.
no subject
She shoots a grin at both the newcomer and to England.] Hey, it's your tea party, doesn't bother me a bit.
no subject
I do not see why not. Though, I must admit some curiosity as to why one would choose to do such a thing in such a place.
[Regardless, he sits down with a grunt, then turns to Marceline.] I do not believe we have met, miss. I am Fawkes.
no subject
It's a peaceful atmosphere. Much more relaxing than our room. And it seems to be one of the safest locations, at any rate. [Even if there is a notable lack of chairs.
As Fawkes introduces himself to Marceline, England reaches over to pour Fawkes a cup as well, though...he wonders if they might need something larger. Suddenly his teaset looks a lot more fragile than it usually does.
He'll risk it, for the sake of politeness.]
no subject
Not that that's out of the question in the tower anyway, but that's not the point. This time she waves as well.]
Marceline. 'Sup?
no subject
Thank you.
[He turns to Marceline for the moment, then looks out at the area.] I am finding this particular floor to be rather odd... Though oddities here are common, it seems.
no subject
[That said, he teasips like a classy motherfucker before his next statement.] One almost expects the other shoe to drop while on this floor, considering the track record of the tower's interior design thus far.
[Seriously. Some of these floors are just...]
