[Terezi has spent the entire day scouring the Tower for her Karkat, but to no avail. She hadn't really expected to find him after she discovered his name was no longer on the plaque outside his room, but she'd still hoped, just a little. She has no idea what happens when people disappear from the Tower if their worlds are really destroyed, and so she's more than a little bit worried.

But the other Karkat has a surprise for her! That should be a good distraction, right?]

[Man, he could really get used to that. He sinks a little into the couch in relaxation.]

...yeah. Its fine.

But like I said, I ain't a hero of time, so maybe consulting one of them might give you better results.

[Later. She's way too comfy to move right now.]

Don't worry about it.

[Even as he says those words, they taste bitter on his tongue. Hypocritical. Every time Karkat came up in conversation, he could feel a sickening pit in his stomach. Couldn't help but feel that he was merely tiding her over until he came back.

And then he would wonder the same about himself, and nothing would make sense again. So instead, this time, he'd merely wrap an arm around her and stare thoughtfully ahead.]

[She's going to keep worrying about it, but she can at least try not to show it.]

Sooo...

[She holds up her hand with the ring on it, wiggling her fingers.]

How'd you make this, anyway?

[Seeing the ring on her finger lifts his spirits a little. The thumbs toward the door with his free hand.]

There's a workshop in the tower. It was nice enough to send me along with some of my supplies, so i didn't have to pilfer anyone else's precious gems or anything like that.

It kind of went hand-in-hand with my advisement schtick.

[She's just... Raising her eyebrows...]

[And he's...squinting.]

[OH GOD HE IS TOO EASY??? She scowls, pulling further away.]

[He has to look so pathetic right now, being dragged by the grip he has on her arm.]

[She's trying so hard not to laugh.]

At least not from her. He suddenly releases her and stammers open mouthed for a moment before he gets extremely indignant.]

What the fuck is your major malfunction?!

[She laughs, scooting close and trying to loop her arms around him again.]

I wanted to see how long it would take you!

[He recoils slightly in displeasure, offering her a very unhappy pout when her arms connect with him.]

You've got to be kidding me.

[She leans forward, trying to kiss him.]

[Karkat had been about to snap angrily at Terezi for her transgressions when suddenly--kiss.

With his mouth hanging wide open.

Suddenly his life is full of dilemmas. How much does he value his face at the present moment? Was he looking to be in pain for the next week or so?

Unfair. He was trying so hard to be good and not quite so forward, lest she get upset with him. Since she had initiated the entire action, he didn't want to risk the possible backlash. So instead of anything else, Terezi is rewarded with a pathetic whine.]

[WOW... She's so confused??? She jerks back, brow furrowed.]

[Karkat ducks his head a little nervously.]
