Well, maybe not exactly. Sure, the Adephagos was a very real and very looming threat, but had they really failed so quickly? And if they had, how had someone saved them and... Brought them where? To a whole new planet?

It didn't seem to make sense to Estelle. Neither did the fact that they'd apparently taken the time to redress her only to give her back her clothes in the trunk at the foot of her bed, which she'd quickly changed into. Or that they'd given her back her weapons, which she'd scooped up immediately.

Now she was wandering the Tower, looking as though she isn't sure whether she should prepare for an attack or try to wake up. If someone had rescued her, they'd certainly rescued her friends, right?]

[She starts when he nearly barrels into her, taking a quick step back.

Oh look, another kid!

[Yup, totally staring.]

[Eridan can't help but arch an eyebrow as he realizes she's staring at him. He slouches somewhat.]

[Eridan shrugged.]

Do you need help? It's not like I'm an expert, though.

[A moment of silence, and then, awkwardly:]

...so. Wwhat do you need help wwith?

Um, well... Everything! I don't know where we are, or if my friends were brought here, too... Also, I have never seen anyone like you before!

[chronomancer]

Ah, okay. Did you read the letters they left you? Wwhen you wwoke up?

Wwell. Forget about them.

[Then he pauses.]

Wwell, not all of them, but most a it. All you need to knoww is that this place generally sucks. A lot. There's the dormitory floors at the top, and the floor where they feed us is at the bottom. There's a ton of floors in betwween that an some of 'em are dangerous so be careful.

[He shrugged.]

And I'm a troll. There's a bunch a others like me around, try not to stare too much.

[She was going to respond to that infodump, but his last comment catches her off guard. Her cheeks match her hair pretty perfectly right now.]

Oh! I, um... I didn't mean...

[He shrugged again.]

[He gave her a look, head tilted to the side.]

[He shrugged again.]

[Eridan shrugged.]

Yeah. I guess you could say it is. It's my bloodcolor too.

[Headtilt!]

[chronomancer]

[Eridan nodded. Then reached a thumb up to his mouth and nicked it on his teeth. Just enough bright jade blood welled up on the cut. He showed it to her.]

[He rubbed his fingers, smearing the blood off.]

[Wow that is... Incredibly weird looking. BUT...]

You didn't need to do that! Here, let me fix it.

[She reaches for his hand.]

Eh, it's just a scratch. Figured it'd get the point across faster than tryin to explain the entire damn hemospectrum.

[He doesn't pull his hand away, though he does give her another shrug, not really making a big deal out of it.]

[Luckily, she can do basic first aid without going through the incantation, so the only indication that anything magical is happening is the way the bracelet on her wrist, as well as his hand, glow.]
