thebigsister: (and i know it serves me well)

the dream is over, but the nightmare's just beginning...

characters: Eleanor Lamb & YOU
settings: Dormitory Hallways & Stairs
format: action tags to start off, but I'll match your preference
summary: there's a... thing in a diver's suit, with what look like harpoons or really scary needles at its wrists, roaming the halls. Do come by to say hi.
warnings: I warned you, bro, I warned you about those stairs! None yet, will be added as necessary.

[Eleanor awoke to a panic. She calmed herself as she tried to make sense of the situation, though the letters left by her (?) bed weren't much help. Trapped. Again. She refused to believe it just yet. Fortunately for her, she found the mismatched Big Sister suit her Father had managed to assemble for her, still in functional condition.

She would not be trapped. After all that had happened, after tasting freedom, Eleanor Lamb was not going to take this lying down.

So she suited up with ease and determined, prepared to explore the place. She would find a way out. She would. So there she is, steps heavy along the corridors, with a distinct clank of metal, as she makes her way around, carefully studying the structure and built of the halls. Like her father has taught her, she's not out to kill innocents, but she will fight, if fighting is what's necessary to recover her freedom.]

yes. [No use denying it now. He pretty much does live here, unless the pattern spontaneously changes. It's hard to determine the creature's gender or tone of voice with that metallic body.]

...what exactly are you?

well, your body appears to be synthetic, though not of any technology i am familiar with. [He comes from before the time of diver's suits, in his world anyhow, so he doesn't really know what to make of it. The shape of the body looks feminine, so he is inclined to believe that, but... well, who knows with this place?]

[Yeah, no philosophical musings today, sorry. He's just behind the times.]

[Well, if it was elusive in her world then chances are it was nonexistent in his. So, satisfied with the fact that this is a sentient being who (outwardly) has no intention of killing him like another Tower monster, Ienzo drops the subject.] ...what is your name?

[Hm, that sounds like a human name, even if it is two words. Though it stands to reason that not all worlds would share Radiant Garden's naming conventions.]

...i am ienzo.

[Last name? That's what you call them? Hmm.]

no, i don't. my world has no concept of 'last names'.

...it is done without the use of a shared name.

[It took him a moment to understand what she was talking about. That's right -- family members have the same last name, don't they?]

...generally, the city is small enough and the names unique enough that individuals can figure out the relationship by simply asking. [And physical similarities too, of course, but for him it's kind of a moot point.]

why do you say that? [He doesn't see anything particularly pleasant about it.]

...by most standards, the city is large. but it is basically the only settlement on the world, and the others are isolated from it. that is why i said it was small, compared to all of the empty land.

[He nods. It definitely is problematic.] ...we were working on communication with other worlds... when i was taken. [He wanted to say something like "not that it matters now", but it might not be the best idea. After all, they still have no idea if the world-destruction theory is true.]

no. literally, other planets with intelligent life on them. we have known of their existence for years now, but haven't been able to communicate with the people there.

no. the idea was to share information; specifically, to learn if any of the other worlds had discovered a way to be rid of a certain monster infestation.

[He nods, but says nothing. No one on the world had been able to truly kill the creatures, only bat them back for a while, and it was now at the point where they crawled around in almost every nook and cranny of the city. ...He had actually been attacked by them, several times, the most recently happening shortly before he had been taken here. That had been the point where he had been saved by Ventus, but even so, through some mix of fear and ego he still didn't like to talk about it.]
