Intro

Setting: Starting out in 1-14 and then anywhere else, really. Just specify a location!
Format: Action brackets preferred, but I can do prose. Just don't expect a lot of tl;dr from me.
Summary: Riku wakes up and finds himself in the tower with conflicted feelings.
Warnings: Nothing I can think of!



[It just didn't add up. His world was already destroyed before he woke up in this place. And all the other worlds... could they really go down that quickly? Especially places like Hollow Bastion, where he'd sealed the Keyholes.

He woke up with a bit of a fright when he first arrived. Sleep paralysis is hardly pleasant, after all. Plus, the sudden arrival in a world that was distinctly not Twilight Town didn't help. After the shock wore off, he dug through the chest and hurried right out the door.

Now he's wandering throughout the entire tower, searching through countless floors. He's got his Keyblade in hand, just in case any Heartless arrive. If this world's like any of the others he's visited, they're probably out there somewhere.

So, yes, feel free to bother the dude with the giant Key. It currently looks like this.]

Floor 20 - I tl;dr I'm sorry orz

[Another day, another evening spent sitting on Floor 20, staring at the sunset. She still hadn't seen Roxas, something that was starting to worry her.

At the sound of footsteps behind her on the stairs, she turns, hand darting up to her hood to pull it over her head if need be. But the figure over by the stairs... she can see the silver hair, and is about to call out when she notices the lack of black coat, not to mention she sees... was that a Keyblade? The stairs were far enough away from the edge that she isn't sure.

She does call out, but, a little more cautiously.] ...Riku?

I am okay with this. No worries!

[keybearer]

[A black cloak? When Riku first spots Xion, he tightens his grip on the Keyblade. After all, black coats mean the Organization... But wait.

She sounds like...

Give him a second. Once he gets a bit closer, he'll speak up.]

Kairi?

[attheclocktower]

[Xion couldn't help but flinch in shock, confusion, and maybe the tiniest bit of hurt. But... why would he... he knew her, didn't he?

He couldn't have forgotten, could he? But how...?

She looks down at her knees, hands tightening uncomfortably. She shakes her head, unhappy.]

[keybearer]

[That's... odd. She sounds just like her, but if she isn't the same--

The way he sees it, there are two options. Either the Organization created a replica of Kairi, or something fishy's afoot.

Well, he'll act casual.]

Sorry about that. You just sound like her, that's all.

I know.

[Because I have the memories of your best friend inside me, memories of him and Kairi. How could you forget?]

[keybearer]

[He's silent for a few moments, just trying to figure out how to approach this. It's all a little mind boggling, really.]

I hate to pry, but is there a reason for it? You've got one of the Organization's coats...

[A beat.]

You know anyone named Sora? Or some jerk that looks just like me.

aquarium floor~!

[ Guess who just appeared literally out of nowhere behind you, Riku?

This guy. Literally, where did he even come from? Dude what. ]

Aren't you an adorable little human? That is the most pathetic blade I've ever seen, though. Really, a key?

[ Seriously, you are saaaaad, Riku. ]

[Okay, so he was going to check out the Aquarium, but this guy? Oh no. Riku's gonna slowly turn to face him, placing a hand on his hip.]

You obviously haven't seen it in action.

[ Chuckling. ]

Child, I don't need to; you have a puny sword in that cute little key.

Man, you're dense. Judging a weapon based on its looks?

[Tsk.]

The meadow

[Romeo smiled when he saw the man with the key sword, it was like Ven's but different.] Hello sir! [He had a white weasel on his head and was wandering around the meadow, because it was warm mainly.]

[Well, this guy sure looks cheery. It kinda catches Riku off guard, but he'll go ahead and approach.]

[More smiles, Romeo is trying very hard to keep his spirits up despite everything and it is resulting in him being even more cheery than normal.]

I like your key sword, does it turn into a hoverboard as well?

A hoverboard?

[Welp, that's a new one. Why would his Keyblade transform, though? That doesn't make much sense...]

Not exactly. Pretty sure the Keyblade's just a weapon; I've always used Gummi Ships to get around.

Yes Ven's turns into a hoverboard, he lent it to me when the bad people turned my into a deer and I couldn't walk. [Yep sorry he doesn't give much context.]

Lake floor!

[Sora really likes the two outdoor floors. And so it's normal to find him on the floor by the lake spilling out over the tower with the flowers on the ceiling. And what's more? He's using the area for basic training exercises with his Keyblade.

And Keyku, as he's exploring, might recognize it as a palette swap of his own.]

[... Okay, give him a second.

Is that... Sora? And with a Keyblade? One that looks surprisingly similar to his own. Okay, he either has to be seeing things, or---

Yeah, he's rushing that way.]

Sora!

[reversedestiny]

[Sora will look over, blinking. That... Isn't the Riku he knows. He's his age. And much too familiar. His scent, though, bears that festering darkness.]

...Riku?

[keybearer]

Where--

[Keep it together, Riku. There has to be a reason for it.]

Where'd you get that Keyblade?

[reversedestiny]

Aqua. She gave it to me, when I first arrived.

[He's not sure what to think. Is this the Riku from his universe...?]

Floor 13 Cathedral for absolute no reason in particular

[Ven was simply passing through on his way back up to...actually he didn't have a particular destination in mind, but he stopped when he spotted Riku, toting a familiar looking weapon (albeit in a form that he had never seen it in).] Is that a keyblade?!

And then Hellfire got stuck in my head

[Familiar voice-- familiar face!

But... his attitude and clothes are totally new.

Sorry, Ven, but instead of answering that question, Riku's got another one.]

You're not... Sora, are you?

[Well that stopped Ven a bit in his tracks. He looked at Riku curiously.]

No... My name is Ventus; but everyone calls me Ven. I do know a Sora though.

Now I'm imagining Frollonort. :'|

[Well, that's new.]
