Summary: Aradia's taking in a little of the tower's version of culture
Warnings: Grim art? But otherwise not much yet.

[Up until now, Aradia hasn't really spent much time perusing the art gallery that appeared when the tower grew a few floors. Today she's decided to rectify that.

And so she wanders aimlessly about the floor, looking at the various artworks on display and lingering in front of those that catch her eye. Probably one of the more morbid ones, but she seems far more fascinated than she does horrified.

Usually the top floor or the fourth floor, you know the one with all the windows? Unless I'm watching movies, then I'm on that floor. But I can come look for you if that's easier.

I'm certain we'll find some method by which to coordinate it. Though I reside in the respiteblock designated 1-01, personally, though I spend much of my time in the crafting area, more recently.

I'm sure we will...perhaps I should have mentioned that, my respiteblock is 2-03. Not that I spend much time in there.

A fair decision, I find. There's certainly much for one to become acquainted with present in this Tower, or to busy oneself with. Remaining there for too long a time would be such a waste!

Exactly! Not to mention it would get dull pretty quickly. At least, it would for me.

I certainly agree, one must keep herself occupied.

Oh, the structure doesn't carry its own personal sentience, does it?

I don't think so? But then I've not seen a whole lot of the ones who are supposed to be in charge so who knows?

Yes, I've heard they don't typically make public appearances. And any sections in which they might dwell are barred from our entry.

Maybe they just want to encourage us to be self-reliant.

More likely, they would seek to interrupt any attempt to challenge their authority.

Probably. But then it's not like we're not used to authority that doesn't like to be challenged.

Neither are we strangers to contesting against such bridles.

Well, you're not maybe. I can't really say I've done much contesting myself.

Yes, of course. I would present no blame to you for electing not to present such a resistance, as they don't tend to respond kindly to it.

Plus it would have been difficult to do any contesting that mattered with the adults all off-planet.

Oh, I guess that wasn't a thing for you. With us, all of the adults were away at war so it was just us and the lusus.

I understand that our race has an unfortunately violent disposition, but many of us had purposes in our culture that weren't conducive to battle. How could such a society sustain itself?

I don't know. Maybe that's partly why it didn't.

What resulted from such a configuration?

[verymuchalive]

Well we managed to beat the game, so I guess it prepared us well for that. Other than that...I couldn't say if there's a connection between the adults not being on the planet and everything that led to its destruction.
